PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mike Infamous (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jose Lesnar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Jose Lesnar was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mike Infamous!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jose Lesnar!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Ian Loll and William Peck.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lesnar clinches.
Infamous tries to circle away but Lesnar has him pinned against the cage.

Infamous breaks from the clinch.
A swing and a miss from Infamous.
Infamous shoots in but no luck this time.
Lesnar ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Lesnar fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Infamous manages to avoid it.
Infamous avoids the head kick by Lesnar.
Mike Infamous seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lesnar is trying hard to land a takedown here. Infamous sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Lesnar looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Infamous throws out a loose jab but Lesnar uses good head movement to avoid it.
Infamous fails with the takedown

and Lesnar counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Infamous!
Infamous is looking to get to half guard.
The referee warns Infamous that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Infamous really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Lesnar landing punches.
Infamous is wriggling around trying to escape.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Lesnar can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Infamous is looking to escape.
Infamous tries to reverse the position but Lesnar maintains control.
Infamous tries to hold on but Lesnar postures up.
Infamous sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.

Infamous looking for submissions off his back.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Lesnar seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Infamous won't allow Lesnar to pass to mount.

Lesnar is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Infamous is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Lesnar pulls his head out easily.
Lesnar is looking to advance position but Infamous won't allow it.

Lesnar decides to return to a standing position.
Some wild striking there from Lesnar.

Lesnar feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Lesnar must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Lesnar looks gassed!

Infamous looking for subs off his back but Lesnar has passed one foot through into half guard.
Infamous is looking to control Lesnar's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Infamous avoid being mounted?

Infamous is trying to get back to full guard.
Infamous regains full guard. Nicely done.
Infamous doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.

Infamous has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Lesnar should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Infamous has tightened it up now! Lesnar should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
