Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Frank Slater! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Geoff Littlewood! The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Alec Ball and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Slater tries to land a front kick but Littlewood steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Slater throws the kick towards the body but Littlewood avoids it. Slater misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Littlewood lands a nice hook to Slater's body. Slater takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Littlewood clinches up against the cage. Slater trying to land knees to the body.

Littlewood scores with an uppercut up the middle. Littlewood blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Slater trying to land knees to the body.

Slater is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage. Littlewood managing to block the knees to the body from Slater.
Littlewood gets control of Slater's arms and successfully pulls guard. Littlewood will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Littlewood preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Slater would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Slater preventing the sweep. Slater with a flurry of punches that miss.
That's one minute gone in the round. Slater loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Slater accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Littlewood controlling the position. Slater is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Littlewood is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Littlewood closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Littlewood lands in his opponent's guard. Slater looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Slater is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Littlewood is controlling him. Slater throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Slater is breathing heavily. Littlewood looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Slater wants to get back to his feet but Littlewood is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Littlewood wants to get up but he can't break Slater's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Littlewood must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Littlewood wants to control from the top but Slater keeps moving. Slater looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Littlewood passes into side control.
Slater sneaks back into half guard. Littlewood is looking to take a break and control but Slater is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Slater looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Littlewood wants to get back to his feet.
Slater gets full guard. Slater has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Littlewood can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Littlewood tries to stand but Slater is controlling from the bottom. Slater working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Littlewood doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Littlewood manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Littlewood tries to free his leg and advance position but Slater is retaining full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Littlewood loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Slater is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Littlewood is controlling him. Slater escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Littlewood gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Slater looking for a guillotine here but Littlewood defends easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Slater wants to get back to his feet but Littlewood is in a dominant position and won't allow it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Frank Slater dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Littlewood looks to land a combination. Slater sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Slater moves out of range of the body kick from Littlewood.
Slater will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Slater throws a quick inside leg kick. Slater goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
It looks like Geoff Littlewood has been cut. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Slater lands a hook that stumbles Littlewood back into the cage. Slater follows up with a straight and another hook that land right on the button, dropping Littlewood to the canvas! Slater pounces and lands several unanswered shots - Littlewood has had enough and taps out! This one is all over!
