Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Roy Kostinov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and West Slivers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Roy Kostinov has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Roy Kostinov seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Roy Kostinov! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, West Slivers! The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Yves DeLean and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kostinov blocks a head kick by Slivers.
Slivers tries a head kick but it misses.
Kostinov ducks under a wild hook from Slivers. Slivers tries to close the distance and clinch up but Kostinov swats him away and circles back towards the center. Slivers misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Some wild striking there from Kostinov.
Kostinov misses with a takedown and Slivers counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Slivers. Slivers trying to control the position from guard on top but Kostinov is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Kostinov is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Kostinov tries to land a sweep but no joy.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kostinov throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
Slivers trying to control the position from guard on top but Kostinov is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Kostinov throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Slivers wants to control from the top but Kostinov keeps moving. Kostinov pulls Slivers in close to prevent any damage. Slivers wanted to stand there but Kostinov had control of the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Kostinov with a lazy takedown attempt and Slivers counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Kostinov's guard now. Kostinov keeping moving, preventing Slivers from controlling successfully. Slivers really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kostinov. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Kostinov is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Slivers must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Slivers looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Slivers wants to control from the top but Kostinov keeps moving.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Slivers is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. Kostinov will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Slivers postures up.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Kostinov has his takedown stuffed and Slivers counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Roy Kostinov. That's going to take a lot out of him. Kostinov gets full guard. Slivers postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Kostinov is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kostinov wants to get back to his feet but Slivers is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Kostinov is breathing heavily. Slivers trying to control the position from guard on top but Kostinov is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Kostinov wants to sweep here but Slivers controlling him for the moment. Kostinov keeping moving, preventing Slivers from controlling successfully. Slivers has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Kostinov to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Slivers is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Kostinov pulls down on the head and he's put Slivers to sleep! This one is all over!
