Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Kyle Teichroew! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jae Deagle! The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Gregory Folan and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Teichroew misses with a takedown attempt - Deagle sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. A combination from Deagle does no damage. Deagle keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Deagle swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Teichroew. Teichroew fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kyle Teichroew. That's going to take a lot out of him. Deagle misses with a jab, cross combination.
Deagle lands a head shot. Jae Deagle seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Deagle throws a right and a left that both miss. Deagle throws a jab but it's blocked by Teichroew. Deagle with a poor takedown and Teichroew holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Deagle looking to slow down the pace here. Deagle is trying to slow the pace down but that's a couple of times in a row that he's tried to get underhooks and Teichroew has denied him. Deagle can't break the clinch.

That's one minute gone in the round. Deagle tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Teichroew just stands there and leans against the cage. Teichroew is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Deagle pulls him back up using the underhooks. Teichroew goes for a takedown in the clinch but Deagle prevents it.
Teichroew has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Deagle regains guard immediately. Teichroew pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Deagle is keeping the position for now. Deagle looking for a sweep. Not yet Deagle, not yet. Deagle escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Teichroew gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Deagle looking for a guillotine here but Teichroew defends easily.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Teichroew pushing down on Deagle's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Teichroew is breathing heavily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Deagle wants to improve his position but Teichroew is controlling well.
Teichroew not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Teichroew is trying to control the action in half guard but Deagle is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Deagle gets full guard. Deagle throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Deagle is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Teichroew has his hands clasped together but Deagle extends an breaks Teichroew's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Deagle.
