Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between James Toney (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Abe Ward (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Toney comes to the cage accompanied by Mercy is for the Weak. Ward has chosen Why can't we be friend? as his entrance music. James Toney could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Abe Ward's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, James Toney! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Abe Ward! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Toney throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Ward sees it coming and avoids it easily. Toney misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Toney throws a nice looking combination but Ward bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Toney cracks Ward with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Ward misses with a takedown attempt - Toney sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Toney with a body punch. A glancing blow. James Toney seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Toney fails to land with a series of punches.
Ward fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Toney manages to avoid it. Ward shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Toney as he avoids it easily. Toney connects with the punch. Toney misses the shot to the body. Toney scores with a jab. Ward acknowledges it with a nod of the head. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Toney stuffs the takedown attempt from Ward. Ward gets slowly back to his feet. James Toney has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Abe Ward. Toney throws a right hand that Ward ducks under and follows up with a left that Ward also avoids with ease. Ward defending well as Toney loads up on a big left hand. No joy there for Ward, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Ward moves out of range as Toney strikes.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ward cracks Toney with a good jab. Toney throws a left and a right that both miss
letting Ward counter with a right hand. Some wild striking there from Ward.
Ward looks gassed! Some wild striking there from Toney.
Toney lands a body shot.
Toney closes the distance and lands a one-two. James Toney is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Toney scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Toney works over Ward's head and body with a nice combination. Toney throws a series of punches but Ward moves out of range. Toney throws a left jab followed by a right to the body, Oh Ward colapses and takes a barrage of punches from Toney as he moves to mount! the ref stops the fight and Ward is left battered and dazed whilst Toney and his camp cheer!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:46 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). James Toney!
