Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Edwin Van Der Sar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Muhsin Muhammed (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Muhammed tries a head kick but it misses.

Van Der Sar closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the ropes.
Van Der Sar fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Muhammed goes for a takedown attempt but Van Der Sar pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Van Der Sar bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Muhammed's guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Muhammed bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Muhammed remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Van Der Sar gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.

Muhammed stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.
