The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Robert Twigg and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Athrox fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Gomez, pushing him back against the cage.

Athrox tries to score a power double leg takedown but Gomez sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Athrox somewhat.

Gomez has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Athrox is really squeezing tight and eventually Gomez passes out! Athrox breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
