Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Johnny Cash (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Louis Caputo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Cash might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to The Man in Black. Johnny Cash has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Johnny Cash!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Louis Caputo!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Stewart Dunkirk and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cash tries to clinch but Caputo is having none of it.

Caputo feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Cash pushes Caputo off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
Cash lands a two punch combo.


It looks like Louis Caputo has been cut.
Cash tries to clinch but Caputo is having none of it.
Cash lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

and Caputo counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Well, if Caputo is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Caputo shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Cash manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Caputo throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Cash works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Caputo must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Caputo can do anything to dispel that myth.

Cash throws and elbow that misses. Caputo uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Cash's guard. Nice move by Caputo!

That was a close second round but I would say that Johnny Cash will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Louis Caputo's cut.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Cash is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Caputo is controlling him.

Cash is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Cash takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Cash is looking to take a break and control but Caputo is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Louis Caputo has got the better of the ground game so far.

Cash avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Caputo bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Cash's guard.

Caputo tries to free his leg and advance position but Cash is retaining full guard.
Caputo wants to control from the top but Cash keeps moving.
Caputo postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Cash is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Cash kicks Caputo off and gets to his feet.
Cash connects with a high kick.
Cash wants to clinch.
Caputo fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Cash avoids it really well and circles away.
Cash misses the shot to the body.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Louis Caputo.
I think Caputo has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
