Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jesper Rush (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ansan Brown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brown has chosen Remember the Name-Fort Miner as his entrance music. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jesper Rush! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ansan Brown! The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Trevor Gratis and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rush shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Brown as he avoids it easily. Brown moves into range and clinches up with Rush. Brown looks to throw an elbow but misses. Brown lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Brown scores with a shoulder strike. Brown tries to land a knee to the head but Rush blocks with his arms.
Brown wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Rush pulls guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they both work up against the meshing. Rush will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Rush keeping full guard, as Brown tries to pass. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Rush is on top in guard.
Rush trying to control but Brown is working from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rush is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Rush is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Rush is looking to work some ground and pound but Brown has wrist control. Brown wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Rush manages to pass to side control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Rush sitting and controlling from the half guard. Rush looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Rush trying to control from half guard but Brown is working away. Rush performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Brown really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Rush. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Rush throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rush trying to control from half guard but Brown is working away.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Jesper Rush. Brown bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Brown tries to clinch there but Rush circles away.
Rush shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Brown as he jumps to the side. Rush fails with an attempt to clinch.
Rush moves into the clinch successfully.
Brown scores with a shoulder strike. Brown is leaning against Rush and scores with a nice uppercut to the body. Brown manages to break the clinch.
Brown gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Brown lands a right hand that snaps the head of Rush backwards.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Brown fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Brown is trying to break free. Rush prevents Brown from breaking the clinch. Brown wants to break the clinch but can't.
Rush tries to pull guard but Brown won't allow it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jesper Rush. That's going to take a lot out of him. Brown breaks from the clinch.
No joy there for Rush, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Rush shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Brown but Brown pushes him off and we're back to square one. Brown misses with a wild body shot. Brown avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Rush moves into the clinch successfully.
Rush tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Brown just stands there and leans against the cage. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Rush prevents Brown from breaking the clinch. Brown can't break the clinch.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Ansan Brown will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Rush fails with a takedown attempt. Rush shoots in and drives through. Brown sprawls well. Brown avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Brown fails in his attempt to clinch. Brown slips a straight right by Rush. Rush shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Brown but Brown pushes him off and we're back to square one. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jesper Rush. That's going to take a lot out of him. Good exchange - Brown coming out on top.
Rush is rocked! Brown moves in looking to clinch but Rush pushes him off. Oh Rush is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Rush looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Brown is not content to let Rush control the position. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Brown is trying to control but can't.
Rush seems to have got his legs back now.
That's one minute gone in the round. Brown wants to get back to full guard. Rush tries to pass the half guard into mount. Brown knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Rush is looking for a kimura here.
Brown is not content to let Rush control the position. Rush is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Brown is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:03 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Jesper Rush!
