Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Chucky Pancamo! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, James Brown! The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Albert Achterberg and Radbod Blank.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pancamo looks to land a combination but Brown avoids it well. Brown displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Pancamo throws out the jab. Brown slips a jab from Pancamo. Pancamo misses with a head kick.
Pancamo fails to land with a series of punches.
Brown shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Pancamo is refusing to be controlled, as Brown sits in half guard. Pancamo tries to kick Brown off but Brown keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Brown tries to pass the half guard into mount. Pancamo knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
That's one minute gone in the round. Brown wants to stand up but Pancamo is controlling the position.
Brown wants to pass the guard but Pancamo is defending well. Brown works his foot free and advances to mount. Brown goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Pancamo is on top in guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Brown trying to keep a closed guard but Pancamo is proving a slippery customer.
Brown working for submissions but it's allowed Pancamo to get to half guard.
Pancamo tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Brown. Brown is staying active underneath Pancamo, who seems content to just control the action from this position. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Brown can do anything to dispel that myth. Pancamo trying to pass the guard but Brown defending well. Pancamo is trying to control the action in half guard but Brown is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Brown makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Brown. Pancamo wants to control from the top but Brown keeps moving. Brown throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Pancamo wants to stand but Brown is controlling his posture from full guard.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Pancamo pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Brown shoots in and bounces Pancamo off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Brown looking to sit in guard and control but Pancamo gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Brown looks gassed!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Pancamo sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Brown's guard. Brown pushes Pancamo off looking to stand but Pancamo dives back in and keeps control.
Pancamo is looking for a kimura here.
Pancamo has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Brown defend it? Pancamo steps over the head and cranks it - Brown is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Pancamo!
