The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hill moves out of range as Grimson strikes.
Grimson throws a series of punches but Hill moves out of range.
Grimson misses with a jab, cross combination.
Hill shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Grimson gets a takedown into half guard.
Hill has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Grimson is working away from the top position though.
Hill is concentrating on defense, preventing Grimson from advancing position.
Hill is looking to improve his position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Grimson lands a nice short elbow.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Hill closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Hill lands in his opponent's guard.

Hill fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Grimson sprawls well initially but Hill persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Hill postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Grimson is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Hill, into his guard.

Grimson got a little sloppy there for a moment and Hill has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Grimson has managed to get both his arms back between Hill's legs - danger averted.
