Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Paul Stanley! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Jason Brown! The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Andrew Berry and Paul Tew.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Brown tries to clinch up but Stanley circles away and keeps his distance. Brown is looking to clinch. Jason Brown seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Stanley lands a glancing blow to the side of Brown's head. Stanley keeps the fight on the outside. Stanley fails with a takedown attempt. Stanley shoots in and bounces Brown off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Brown working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Stanley. Stanley slips nicely into half guard. Stanley frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Stanley working for a submission but Brown is keeping him at bay. Stanley connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
That's one minute gone in the round. Stanley looking to secure an arm triangle but Brown defends it well. Stanley wants to finish this one by submission but Brown is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Stanley. Stanley jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Brown manages to avoid the submission attempt. Stanley is breathing heavily. Brown is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Stanley asserts his dominance and retains side control. Brown is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first. Brown managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Stanley.
Stanley has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Brown is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Stanley yanks on the arm and Brown is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Stanley.
