Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mark Hoffman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Liam Shannon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Seu Braga and Paulo Santos.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown by Shannon or perhaps it was just good defense by Hoffman which made him look bad.
Hoffman gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Shannon to score an easy takedown into full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hoffman is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Mark Hoffman just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.

Hoffman lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Hoffman avoids the attempt from Shannon to control.
Hoffman postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Shannon in real trouble here! The ref calls for Shannon to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!
