Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jason Slade (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hank Reardon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jason Slade! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Hank Reardon! The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Damien Edna and Steve Erwin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Reardon throws a lazy right hand but Slade sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Reardon takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Reardon moves into range and clinches up with Slade. Slade is fighting off a takedown attempt but Reardon is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Slade to the mat. Slade regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. Reardon wants to pass the guard but Slade is keeping the position. Slade is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Reardon got a little sloppy there for a moment and Slade has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Reardon has managed to get both his arms back between Slade's legs - danger averted. Reardon trying to control but Slade is working from the bottom. Reardon postures up and lands a big shot to Slade's brow. Reardon trying to control but Slade is working from the bottom. Slade avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Reardon with a nice head shot there. Reardon forces his way into half guard. Slade regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Reardon.
That's one minute gone in the round. Slade has his foot on Reardon's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Reardon works his way back into a safe position though. Reardon is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Slade is looking for a triangle but Reardon pushes his legs off easily.
Reardon landing with the ground and pound. Reardon postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Slade is looking for a triangle but Reardon pushes his legs off easily.
Slade escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Reardon gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Slade is breathing heavily. Reardon distracts Slade with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Reardon chips away with some ground and pound. Reardon postures up and lands a big shot to Slade's brow. Reardon must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Slade working for a triangle but Reardon defends it easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Slade looking to hit a scissor sweep but Reardon is one step ahead there. Reardon working some strikes from top position. Slade has his foot on Reardon's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Reardon works his way back into a safe position though. Reardon keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Slade's head. Reardon stands up over Slade, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Reardon's corner. There ya go! There ya go! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Reardon with a nice head shot there. Reardon lands a couple of digs. Reardon is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Slade is rocked! Reardon cracks Slade with a solid left hand. Oh Slade is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Reardon seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Reardon pushes down on Slade's leg and manages to get into half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Reardon looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Reardon takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Reardon is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Reardon slows the pace down in half guard. Reardon is sitting in half guard. He's postured up and lands a nice elbow. Oh, Slade is hurt! He's hurt bad - Reardon fires away with more strikes and the referee jumps in to save Slade from any more punishment! Congratulations to Reardon! Great finish!
