Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Benjamin Pace (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Molina (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Molina has chosen Cowboys from Hell as his entrance music. John Molina is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Benjamin Pace! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, John Molina! The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, John Mangel and Hugh Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pace scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Pace misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Molina is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Molina trying to keep hold of his opponent's head but Pace manages to pass to mount!
Pace avoids the attempt from Molina to control. Molina reaches up and holds on to Pace to control the position. Molina blocking the ground and pound. Molina is looking to improve his position but Pace isn't that keen on the idea. Molina wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.
Molina is working to get back to half guard.
Molina wants to hold on but Pace pushes him away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pace throwing strikes here but Molina is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Pace thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage. Pace wants to control the pace but Molina is squirming around nicely. Molina regains half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Pace wants to take a breather but Molina is having none of it. Molina trying to control here.
Well, if Pace is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Pace tries to stand but can't do so whilst Molina controls his leg.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Pace wants to take a breather but Molina is having none of it. Molina tries to get to full guard but Pace has control of the leg. Pace is tying to control. Molina wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Pace shoots in for a takedown but Molina shows good takedown defense. Pace tries to close the distance and clinch but Molina swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Pace fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Pace is breathing heavily. Pace fails miserably with a takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Benjamin Pace. That's going to take a lot out of him. Pace will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Pace throws a couple of punches but he's in a bad position and they don't land. Molina wants to lay and pray for a moment but Pace keeps working. Molina controlling the position from side mount. Molina tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Molina has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Molina tries for a kimura but Pace is defending well. Molina wants to lay and pray for a moment but Pace keeps working.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Pace is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Molina passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Pace! Molina trying to control but he's not successful this time. Pace wants to control but Molina is having none of it. Molina trying to control but Pace is having none of it. Pace tries to hold on but Molina pushes him away. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Molina wants to take Pace's back but he can't do it this time. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
John Molina dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Pace tries to close the distance and clinch up but Molina swats him away and circles back towards the center. Molina darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Pace trying to control but Molina postures up.
Pace is not content to let Molina control the position. Pace works his way to full guard. Good work. Pace wants to sweep here but Molina controlling him for the moment. Molina stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Pace swivels though and keeps the full guard. Molina throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Pace works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Molina prevents Pace from getting back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Molina trying to control but Pace is working from the bottom.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. Pace with a lazy takedown attempt and Molina counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Pace! Molina is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Pace can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Molina takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Pace is in all sorts of trouble here.
Molina can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Pace is looking to escape. Molina controlling from the full mount. Pace wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pace is trying desperately to improve position. Pace is working hard here to advance position. Molina trying to control but Pace is having none of it. Molina with a couple of short strikes. Pace really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Pace regains half guard. Still in half guard, Molina seems content to control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pace is refusing to be controlled, as Molina sits in half guard. Pace wants to control but Molina is keeping busy and won't allow it. Pace wants to improve his position but Molina is controlling well.
Pace makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Pace. Pace looking to hit a scissor sweep but Molina is one step ahead there. Pace wants to hit a switch here but Molina passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Pace there!
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Pace is desperately trying to improve his position but Molina has a good base and remains in mount. Molina with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Pace regains half guard. Pace wants to control but Molina is keeping busy and won't allow it. Molina wants to pass to mount but Pace is defending the position. Molina sitting and controlling from the half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
John Molina showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!
Pace is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Molina. Molina clinches with his opponent.
Molina has Pace pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Molina pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Pace tumbling to the mat - Molina dives into Pace's guard. Pace throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Molina passes into half guard. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Molina in particular looking to stall. Molina looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Molina moves into full mount! Pace won't be happy about that! Molina trying to control but he's not successful this time. John Molina has got the better of the ground game so far. Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Molina moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Pace has worked his arm free - good work by Pace!

Molina is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Pace shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Molina decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Pace's guard. Pace keeping moving, preventing Molina from controlling successfully. Pace looking for a guillotine here but Molina defends easily.
Molina trying to control but Pace is working from the bottom. Pace wants to stand up but Molina is controlling him. Molina slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Benjamin Pace has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Pace keeping busy on the bottom but Molina has passed one foot through into half guard.
And that's the end of the fight! John Molina comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Molina has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
