Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Claudio Filho!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jake Nass!
The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Seu Braga and Matheus Silva.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nass shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Filho's guard.
Nass trying to control but Filho is working from the bottom.
Nass throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Filho works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Nass throwing strikes from guard but Filho blocks nicely.
Nass trying to control the position from guard on top but Filho is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Filho is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Nass dives into side control.
Filho is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
Filho defending against the ground and pound.
Filho bucks up and tries to throw Nass off but instead Nass has got his back!
Filho knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Nass on the ground.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Filho prevents Nass from getting a body triangle.
Nass is working on the RNC. He looks like he's got it but Filho won't tap... Oh, he's out! The ref rips Nass off his unconscious opponent!
