Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jim Reaper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Karl Manson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Manson has a pretty significant injury - he really shouldn't be fighting right now but he's a warrior and he's here none the less! Karl Manson has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jim Reaper! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Karl Manson! The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Chris Downing and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Reaper closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Manson did well to prevent Reaper getting side control. Manson looks gassed! Reaper stalling. Reaper is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Reaper is looking for a kimura but Manson is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Reaper to get the leverage. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Manson on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Reaper passes to full mount! The referee warns Manson that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Reaper postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Manson looks a forlorn figure.

That's one minute gone in the round. BOOM! Reaper connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Reaper with shots to the head and body - Manson looks very uncomfortable down there. Manson is trying to escape the mount.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Reaper landing shots from mount. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Reaper cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Manson flailing away with punches but nothing is landing.
Manson is desperately trying to improve his position but Reaper has a good base and remains in mount. The referee warns Manson that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Reaper is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Manson can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
BOOM! Reaper connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Reaper working away from the top, dropping strikes. Manson wants to control but Reaper is having none of it. Reaper is landing with some decent strikes but Manson is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Manson regains half guard. Reaper is nestled in close to Manson, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Manson is trying to stand.
Reaper not landing any meaningful shots this time. Reaper is stalling here. Manson is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Reaper seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Manson has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work. Manson tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Manson has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Reaper is looking to regain half guard here but Manson keeps moving and retains side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Manson wants to lay and pray for a moment but Reaper keeps working.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Reaper misses with a wild body shot. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jim Reaper dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Manson feints and as Reaper raises his hands in defense, Manson changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Reaper has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Manson off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds. Reaper shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Reaper showed some decent athleticism there. Manson is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Reaper pulls his head out easily. Reaper trying to control the action but Manson is working from the bottom. Reaper is thwarting Manson's attempts to control the position. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Reaper sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Manson defending well though. Reaper thows a huge punch but Manson dodges it nicely.
Manson wants to control but Reaper is keeping busy and won't allow it. Manson is trying to stand up here but Reaper is controlling him well.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Manson shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Reaper counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Manson! Jim Reaper overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Manson gets back to half guard. Reaper slips a nice elbow through Manson's hands, connecting with Manson's forehead. Manson wants to sweep but Reaper has passed to side control!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Manson tries to improve position but can't. Manson manages to work his way to half guard, despite Reaper's best efforts. Reaper thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Manson's head. Reaper sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Manson defending well though. Manson trying to control here.
Manson is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Reaper scores with a couple of nice shots. Manson is not content to let Reaper control the position. Manson works his way to full guard. Good work. Reaper lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Manson utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Reaper is in close to Manson's body, working some short punches and elbows. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Manson can do anything to dispel that myth. Reaper trying to control but Manson is working from the bottom. Reaper scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Reaper is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Manson keeping moving, preventing Reaper from controlling successfully. Reaper's corner is telling him to maintain position. Reaper trying to control but Manson is working from the bottom.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Manson shoots and misses and Reaper counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Reaper winds up and cracks Manson with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Manson tries to roll over but Reaper keeps him under control. Reaper is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Manson has hold of Reaper's hands but Reaper slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Manson controlling the leg, holding on to half guard. Reaper is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jim Reaper dominated that second round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!
Manson clinches but Reaper breaks the clinch and Reaper counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Reaper. Reaper lands a couple of digs. Reaper works over Manson with some ground and pound from guard. Reaper makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Reaper postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Reaper wants to control from the top but Manson keeps moving. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Reaper is on the wrong end of a couple of strikes there.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Manson closes the distance looking to clinch and Reaper counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Manson's guard now. Reaper wants to pass the guard but Manson is keeping the position. Reaper throws a strike but Manson rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Reaper is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Manson is aware though and is defending well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Manson trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Reaper has momentary wrist control but Manson slips an elbow through the middle. Manson wants to control from the top but Reaper keeps moving. Manson throws and elbow that misses. Reaper uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Manson's guard. Nice move by Reaper!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Manson is trying to keep Reaper in close.
Manson manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Reaper manages to get himself to full guard.
Reaper is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Manson preventing the sweep. Manson is looking to stand up but Reaper won't let him.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Manson trying to control the position from guard on top but Reaper is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Manson tries to free his leg and advance position but Reaper is retaining full guard. Reaper is adopting a defensive guard. Manson slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Jim Reaper showed his dominance in that final round. Well Reaper has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
