The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
van Duyven takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Mannerheim throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

van Duyven throws a series of punches but Mannerheim avoids them all with ease.
Horrible takedown by van Duyven or perhaps it was just good defense by Mannerheim which made him look bad.

Mannerheim changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. van Duyven tries to avoid it but Mannerheim manages to keep hold of a leg and drag van Duyven to the ground. van Duyven escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Gerard van Duyven.
