Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jose Rizal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Igor Solvk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jose Rizal! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Igor Solvk! The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Alec Ball and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! No luck for Rizal with that takedown attempt. Rizal slips a jab and a cross from Solvk.
Rizal scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Solvk is not content to let Rizal control the position. It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Solvk fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Rizal drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Rizal wants to control from the top but Solvk keeps moving. Rizal feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Solvk avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Solvk has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Rizal can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Rizal missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

Solvk can't keep his opponent in guard - Rizal advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Rizal thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Solvk's head. Rizal sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Solvk defending well though.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Solvk is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Rizal pulls his head out easily. Rizal is working for a submission of some sort.
Rizal is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Solvk sees it coming and defends easily. Rizal lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Solvk is trying to stand up here but Rizal is controlling him well. Rizal wants to work for an arm triangle but Solvk is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Rizal has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Rizal is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Solvk can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rizal trying to control but he's not successful this time. Rizal in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Rizal wants to finish this one by submission but Solvk is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Rizal. Solvk wants to try and get back to his feet. Rizal misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Solvk jabs Rizal right on the nose. Rizal blinks but takes it well. Solvk misses with a double jab.
Rizal will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Solvk scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Rizal shoots in for a takedown but Solvk shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Solvk throws a chopping leg kick but Rizal manages to avoid taking any serious damage. A head kick misses from Solvk. Rizal has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Solvk finds it's way round the side to connect with Rizal's head. Solvk ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Solvk lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Solvk. Solvk throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Rizal. Rizal closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Solvk won't allow Rizal to pass to mount. Rizal lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Rizal trying to mount his opponent but Solvk defends it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rizal decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet. Rizal slips a jab and a cross from Solvk.
Rizal shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Solvk as he avoids it easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jose Rizal. That's going to take a lot out of him. Rizal decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Rizal decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up. A nice combination there by Solvk.

Solvk is trying to stand up. Solvk is looking to improve his position but Rizal isn't that keen on the idea. Rizal lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Rizal working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. Solvk working to try and regain half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rizal landing strikes from the mount and Solvk is in trouble! Solvk tries to reverse the position but Rizal maintains control. Rizal has hold of Solvk's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Solvk manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Rizal has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Solvk's face.
Rizal scoring with strikes but Solvk is staying in there. Solvk is squirming around, avoiding Rizal's attempts to control the action. Solvk is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Rizal locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Solvk is forced to tap!
