Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jamir Amini! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Uriah Heath! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, George Francis and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Amini closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Heath to the mat! Heath manages to get full guard. Heath pulls Amini in close to his closed guard and prevents Amini from doing any damage or advancing position. Amini wants to stand but Heath is controlling his posture from full guard. Heath keeping moving, preventing Amini from controlling successfully. Heath utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Heath keeping moving, preventing Amini from controlling successfully. Heath has his feet on Amini's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Heath tries for a takedown but Amini circles away easily and Amini counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Amini misses with a head shot. Heath uses the momentum to regain guard. Heath wants to sweep but no luck. Amini might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Heath pulls Amini in close to his closed guard and prevents Amini from doing any damage or advancing position. Amini wants to stand but Heath is controlling his posture from full guard. That's two minutes gone in the round. Amini wants to get up but he can't break Heath's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Heath is trying to control the position from the bottom.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Amini postures up in Heath's guard and throws a big left but Heath blocks it. Amini decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Heath closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Amini to the mat! Amini manages to get full guard. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Heath content to stall in guard here. Amini working for a triangle but Heath defends it easily.
Amini is breathing heavily. Amini is trying to control the position but Heath postures up. Amini has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Heath can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Heath is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Heath must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Amini looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Amini being controlled here, momentarily. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Heath sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Amini's guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Heath scores with a jab to the body. Heath connects with a body shot. Heath fails with the takedown and Amini counters with a single leg into guard. Heath didn't expect that. Heath wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Amini decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Heath drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Heath is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Heath controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Amini has control of Heath's left arm, preventing Heath from doing any damage. Heath controls from within his opponent's guard.
Despite being in the dominant position, Uriah Heath just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Amini feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Heath wriggles free and stands up. Heath shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Heath was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Heath controlling the position easily from mount. Amini is trying to escape the mount.
Heath controlling the pace for now. Heath goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Amini is on top in guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Heath is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Amini throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Heath works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Amini trying to control the position from guard on top but Heath is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Heath has Amini pulled in close to control his posture.

That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Amini fails with the takedown and Heath counters with a nice double leg into guard. Heath is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Heath trying to control the position from guard on top but Amini is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Heath controlling from the top position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Uriah Heath will probably get the nod - 10:9. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Amini is staying active underneath Heath, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Amini is trying to get back to full guard. Heath stalling.

Heath's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Amini is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Heath is controlling him. That's three minutes gone in the round. Heath trying to control but Amini is working from the bottom. Amini is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Heath's corner is telling him to maintain position. Heath drops back looking for a leg! Amini is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Amini manages to kick Heath off! Heath jumps back into Amini's guard. Amini keeping moving, preventing Heath from controlling successfully.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Amini tries to land a sweep but no joy. Amini has his foot on Heath's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Heath works his way back into a safe position though. Heath is stalling in the full guard. Heath wants to pass the guard but Amini is keeping the position. Heath content to stall in guard here.
And that's the end of the fight! Uriah Heath comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Heath has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
