Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Dan Johnson!
The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Arvi Lind and Anni Minnemäki.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Roger shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Roger was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Johnson can do anything to dispel that myth.
Johnson sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Johnson is looking for a sweep. Roger is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Johnson is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Nice takedown defense from Johnson. No joy for Roger on that attempt.

Roger breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Roger, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
