Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, KO Pain! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Tobba Knat! The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Shigeki Sano and Yukihiro Shimada.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pain fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Knat avoids it really well and circles away. Knat scores with a nice right hand.
Pain shoots in looking for a takedown. Knat tries to sprawl out of it but Pain keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Knat manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Pain takes a shot right to the bread basket. Pain shoots in but Knat avoids the takedown attempt easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for KO Pain. That's going to take a lot out of him. Pain looks for a takedown but Knat sprawls well. Pain tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Knat swivels and escapes. Knat lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pain fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Knat avoids it really well and circles away. Knat defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Pain. Knat lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Pain circles away quickly and effectively. Pain gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Knat. Pain with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Knat to score with a decent uppercut. Pain has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Knat finds it's way round the side to connect with Pain's head. Knat lands a lovely overhand right. Pain fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Knat lands a jab. Knat lands an overhand right.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Knat lands a slapping body shot.
Nice takedown defense from Knat. No joy for Pain on that attempt. A shot to de liver by Knat. Beautiful body shot. This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Pain. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery. Pain is breathing heavily. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Pain on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Knat lands a lovely overhand right. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Knat, as that shot connected.
Knat scores with a hook. Decent striking displayed by Knat there.
Pain is rocked! Knat wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Knat keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Pain takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Oh Pain is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Knat is throwing a storm of strikes! Right hook, left hook and follows it up with a spinning back fist! Pain hits the canvas like a rag doll! And just like that, this one is over!
