Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Bosse Grepp (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sheamus Noonan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bosse Grepp has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Bosse Grepp! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Sheamus Noonan! The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Bruno Hogan and Steve Erwin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Noonan throws a shot to the body.
Noonan stuffs the takedown attempt from Grepp. Grepp gets slowly back to his feet. Noonan misses with an uppercut. Grepp saw that one coming. The fight stays on the outside here - Noonan looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Noonan misses the shot to the body. Noonan wants to clinch up but Grepp keeps it at a distance. Noonan shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Grepp is trying to defend but Noonan finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Noonan is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Grepp is trying to get back to full guard. Grepp is working hard here to advance position. Grepp gets full guard. Grepp will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Noonan accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Noonan got a little sloppy there for a moment and Grepp has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Noonan has managed to get both his arms back between Grepp's legs - danger averted.
That's one minute gone in the round. Noonan postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Grepp looking to hit a scissor sweep but Noonan is one step ahead there. Noonan is in close to Grepp's body, working some short punches and elbows. Noonan lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Noonan throws a strike but Grepp rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Grepp trying to control but Noonan is working from the bottom. Grepp pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Noonan is keeping the position for now. Grepp thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Grepp wants to control from the top but Noonan keeps moving.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Noonan has control of Grepp's left arm, preventing Grepp from doing any damage. Noonan wants to sweep but no luck. Noonan has his hands on Grepp's head, controlling the position. Noonan is trying to control the position but Grepp postures up.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Noonan throws a big shot that misses. Noonan throws a hook but Grepp avoids it easily. Sheamus Noonan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Grepp shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Noonan's guard. Noonan looking for a sweep. Not yet Noonan, not yet. Grepp trying to control but Noonan is working from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Grepp stopping the sweep attempt from Noonan. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Noonan can do anything to dispel that myth. Grepp trying to control the position from guard on top but Noonan is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Grepp preventing the sweep. Noonan keeping full guard, as Grepp tries to pass.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Grepp steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Noonan. Noonan throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Grepp was covering up waiting for the punch and Noonan finishes the takedown easily into guard. Noonan must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Noonan won't allow Grepp to sweep him here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Grepp is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Noonan lands a couple of elbows. Noonan lands a couple of elbows. Grepp bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Noonan's guard. Grepp throws a big right hand that misses. Noonan keeping full guard, as Grepp tries to pass. Noonan pulls Grepp in close to prevent any damage. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Sheamus Noonan dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Noonan looks to score with a jab to the body but Grepp is just out of range. Grepp fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Noonan scores with a punch to the head. The fighters circling - Noonan throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Grepp fails to land the takedown. Noonan closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Noonan lands in his opponent's guard. Grepp preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Noonan's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Noonan landing some decent shots from guard. Noonan with a nice head shot there. Noonan scoring with punches to the head and body. Noonan is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Noonan lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Noonan distracts Grepp with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Noonan's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Grepp working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Noonan doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Noonan manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Noonan stopping the sweep attempt from Grepp. Noonan with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Noonan sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Grepp's guard. Grepp manages to get to full guard.
Noonan is looking to work some ground and pound but Grepp has wrist control. Noonan landing some decent shots from guard. Noonan loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Grepp is trying to control the position but Noonan postures up. Grepp is looking for a triangle but Noonan pushes his legs off easily.
Noonan lands a couple of elbows. Noonan working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Noonan working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Grepp's head. Noonan in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Noonan is looking to work some ground and pound but Grepp has wrist control. Grepp lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Noonan! Noonan is wriggling around trying to escape.
Sheamus Noonan has got the better of the ground game so far. Grepp throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Noonan because Grepp loaded up on that one. Noonan tries to lock up and control but Grepp gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Grepp working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Grepp has hold of Noonan's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Noonan manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Grepp avoids the attempt from Noonan to control. Noonan is trying to escape the mount.
Grepp is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Noonan has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Noonan! Noonan working some strikes from top position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Grepp looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Noonan scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Noonan connects with a couple of short punches. Noonan forces his way into half guard. Noonan lands with a punch from half guard. The fighters are battling for position here. Grepp manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Grepp preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Noonan with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Noonan is in close to Grepp's body, working some short punches and elbows. Noonan stands up over Grepp, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Noonan distracts Grepp with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Grepp is trying to keep Noonan in close.

Sheamus Noonan showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!
Noonan bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Grepp takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Noonan working the ground and pound. Grepp tries to improve position but can't. Grepp is trying to control Noonan's posture but Noonan avoids it. Noonan lands a decent elbow from side control. Noonan working the ground and pound from side control. Noonan lands a few punches from side control. Grepp is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Noonan looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Grepp with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Grepp is rocked! Both fighters are breathing heavily. Grepp trying to control but Noonan postures up.
Noonan thows a huge punch but Grepp dodges it nicely.

That's one minute gone in the round. Grepp is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Noonan scores with a couple of nice shots. Grepp looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Grepp is trying to maintain the position but Noonan is very close to passing his half guard. Noonan lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Grepp is looking to improve his position.
Noonan working the head and body with strikes. Noonan winds up and cracks Grepp with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Noonan looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Oh Grepp is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Noonan passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Grepp! Grepp seems to have got his legs back now. Grepp really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Noonan with good strikes from the mount here! Noonan is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Grepp can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Noonan unloads with some vicious shots from mount and Grepp wants out - he looks towards the referee who steps in to save him! Noonan celebrates on the cage and the crowd goes wild!
