Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Nate Walker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johnny Disis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Disis's choice of entrance music: Polly Jean Harvey - Angry Johnny. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Nate Walker!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Johnny Disis!
The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Eliza Hachem and Steve Erwin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Walker closes this distance looking for a takedown but Disis circles away.
Disis keeps the fight on the outside.
Walker shoots for a takedown but Disis saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Disis feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Walker working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Disis doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Disis manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Disis trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Disis accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Walker has his foot on Disis's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Disis works his way back into a safe position though.

Disis seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Disis is working for a guillotine from mount but Walker frees his head quite easily.
Walker is wriggling around trying to escape.

Disis is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Walker can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Walker escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Disis gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Walker is looking for a triangle but Disis pushes his legs off easily.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Disis keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Walker's head.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Disis doesn't manage to clinch there - Walker circles away.

Disis cracks Walker with a big right hand but Walker just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

Johnny Disis showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Well Disis has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
