Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Luther Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Archibald Anderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Luther Jones! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Archibald Anderson! The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Donald Grub and Sam Margolis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A decent looking body kick lands there for Anderson. Anderson takes the fight into the clinch. Anderson's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. A punch combination from Jones misses. Anderson dodges the punch combination from Jones.
Anderson closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Anderson stalling. Anderson is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Jones is just riding it out for now. Anderson eventually gives up the hold. Anderson seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
That's one minute gone in the round. Anderson throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Anderson content to control rather than advance.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Anderson wants to lay and pray for a moment but Jones keeps working. Anderson slows the pace down in half guard. Anderson wants to stand up but Jones manages to regain full guard.

Anderson tries for a takedown but Jones sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Anderson is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Jones's half guard. Anderson not doing much here.
Jones regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Anderson. Jones could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
That's five minutes gone in the round. Anderson is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Anderson tries to lock up and control but Jones gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Anderson working to try and regain half guard.
That's six minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Jones tries to stand up but he's trapped just for the moment. Anderson can't escape the position.
Anderson is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Anderson prevents any damage by holding on tight.

Despite being in the dominant position, Archibald Anderson just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Jones misses with a low kick.
That's nine minutes gone in the round. Jones thows a body shot but no joy. Anderson avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Anderson looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Jones! Anderson looking to control but Jones is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Jones takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Anderson controlling from mount. Archibald Anderson dominated that round. That's time! Jones's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Jones takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards. Jones misses the shot to the body. Anderson shoots in but no luck this time. Anderson has managed to clinch.
Anderson jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Jones walks away with a smile on his face. Anderson gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Anderson gets a takedown into half guard. Anderson controlling the action here. Anderson is working for a submission of some sort.
That's one minute gone in the round. Anderson trying to control from Jones's half guard. Jones has other ideas though and has regained full guard. Jones wants to stand and escape but Anderson is having none of it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Anderson trying to control but Jones is working from the bottom. Anderson wants to pass the guard but Jones is keeping the position. Jones wants to get back to his feet but Anderson is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Anderson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Jones swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Anderson has Jones up against the ropes in a clinch.
Jones swings wildly with an uppercut but Anderson uses good head movement to avoid it. Anderson fails to pull guard.
Luther Jones has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Archibald Anderson. Anderson looking to slow down the pace here. Anderson stalling against the ropes.
Jones's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Jones misses with a few strikes there.
Jones fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Anderson manages to avoid it. Anderson closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Anderson wants to lay and pray for a moment but Jones keeps working. Anderson working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Anderson wants to control but Jones is keeping him busy. The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Anderson. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man. Jones pushes Anderson away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Anderson gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Anderson wants to lay and pray for a moment but Jones keeps working. Anderson decides to stand back up.
That's five minutes gone in the round. Jones takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Jones misses with a body shot
and Anderson counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Jones! Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Jones in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Anderson scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Jones in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Anderson get's back to his feet. Anderson throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Jones was covering up waiting for the punch and Anderson finishes the takedown easily into guard. Anderson connects with a couple of short punches. Anderson must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

That's seven minutes gone in the round. Anderson looking to sit in guard and control but Jones gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Anderson looking to hit a scissor sweep but Jones is one step ahead there. Anderson wants to stand but Jones is controlling the position.
That's eight minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Jones passes into half guard under a barage of strikes. Anderson is trying to stand up here but Jones is controlling him well.

Archibald Anderson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

Anderson decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Jones throws a jab but it's blocked by Anderson. Jones throws a lazy head kick and Anderson counters with a nice low kick that buckles Jones's knee momentarily. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Anderson decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Jones tries to kick Anderson off but Anderson keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Anderson is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Anderson thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Anderson is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Anderson postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Anderson accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Jones misses with a jab to the body

Anderson avoids a punch combination nicely.

Anderson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Jones swivels though and keeps the full guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Archibald Anderson comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Anderson has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
