Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jacques Deupreaux (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dave Suraski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

It looks like Jacques Deupreaux has been cut.
Suraski tries to move into range but Deupreaux moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Deupreaux fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Suraski sprawls well initially but Deupreaux persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Suraski is looking to control Deupreaux's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Suraski avoid being mounted?

No joy there for Suraski, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Jacques Deupreaux.
I think Suraski has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
