Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between pretzle twist (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stora Vargen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Stora Vargen will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Fedor Mirinova and Igor Prikhodko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
twist closes the distance and clinches up with Vargen, looking for a takedown. twist pushes Vargen against the cage but Vargen circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Horrible takedown by twist or perhaps it was just good defense by Vargen which made him look bad.
Vargen gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and twist counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Vargen can do anything to dispel that myth.
twist is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
twist seems to be working for a kimura but Vargen defends the submission attempt.
Vargen is trying to stand up here but twist is controlling him well.

Vargen is looking for a sweep. twist is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
twist wants to take a breather but Vargen is having none of it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Vargen lands a left and a right that send twist crashing to the mat, dazed. Vargen thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Vargen is looking for a takedown. Wow, that's a brutal slam - twist is in big trouble! Vargen is landing strikes from the mount and this one is all over! The ref jumps in to save a confused looking twist. Poor guy.
