Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Frank Castle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anthony Barbossa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Castle comes to the cage accompanied by Holy Wars...The Punishment Due. Anthony Barbossa told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Robert Douchet and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barbossa throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Castle tries a low kick but Barbossa avoids it.
Castle connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Frank Castle seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Barbossa fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Castle manages to avoid it.
Castle cracks Barbossa with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
It looks like Anthony Barbossa has been cut.
Castle stuffs the takedown.
Castle keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Barbossa swats away the attempt to clinch by Castle.

Barbossa takes a swing at Castle's ribcage but misses.
Castle lands with an overhand left.

Castle uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Barbossa.
Barbossa ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Castle moves away.
Barbossa just misses with a punch to the body.
Castle lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Barbossa backs up against the cage.

and Barbossa counters with a nice body shot.
Barbossa walks into a stiff left hand from Castle.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
A jab from Castle finds it's way through Barbossa's defenses.

Barbossa tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Castle was well out of range. Poor timing from Barbossa.

Castle lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Barbossa backs up against the cage.
That has opened up Anthony Barbossa's cut even more.
Castle throws a hook to the side of Barbossa's head but Barbossa sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Castle missing with a left hand there. Barbossa was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Castle throws out a powerful jab.
Castle misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Barbossa.
Castle connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Barbossa's hands.
Barbossa tries for a takedown but Castle sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Frank Castle has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Anthony Barbossa.
Castle throws the left hand but Barbossa avoids the punch easily.
Barbossa is trying desperately to land a takedown but Castle is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Barbossa.
Castle scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Barbossa doesn't seem bothered though.
Castle tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Castle lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
The cut above Anthony Barbossa's eye is starting to cause him problems now.

and Barbossa counters with a straight punch to the midsection.

Castle thows a body shot but no joy.
Castle misses with a hook to the body
and Barbossa connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Castle will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Barbossa moves out of range as Castle strikes.
Castle moves in looking to clinch but Barbossa pushes him off.
Barbossa throws a sloppy body shot
and Castle counters with a right hand to the body.
Castle sizes up Barbossa with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Barbossa changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Castle tries to avoid it but Barbossa manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Castle to the ground. Castle escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Castle looks to land a left hand but Barbossa moved out of range nicely.
Barbossa on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Anthony Barbossa's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

Castle misses with the combination.

Castle lands a left and a right that send Barbossa crashing to the mat, dazed. Castle thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Barbossa is rocked!
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Anthony Barbossa's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:15 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Frank Castle!
