Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Brian Cushing II (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Luca Eisenberg (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Brian Cushing II!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Luca Eisenberg!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Alec Ball and Steve Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Eisenberg tries to clinch up but Cushing II circles away and keeps his distance.
Cushing II shoots in but no luck this time.
Eisenberg tries a head kick but it misses.
Eisenberg's corner calls for a 1-2. Eisenberg obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.


It looks like Brian Cushing II has been cut.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Eisenberg, as that shot connected.
Eisenberg scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.

Cushing II moves into the clinch.
Eisenberg digs a right hand underneath Cushing II's ribcage. Cushing II let out a lung full of air as it connected.
Cushing II with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.

Cushing II misses with a knee to the head.
Eisenberg lands an elbow inside that Cushing II shrugs off.

Eisenberg breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

and Cushing II counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Cushing II.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Eisenberg tries to land a sweep but no joy.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Eisenberg really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Cushing II. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Eisenberg wants to hold on but Cushing II pushes him away.
You get the feeling that Eisenberg really doesn't like being in this position too much.

Cushing II wants to finish this one by submission but Eisenberg is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Cushing II.
Eisenberg is really trying hard to get back to his feet.

Cushing II moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Eisenberg has worked his arm free - good work by Eisenberg!

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Cushing II remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Cushing II is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Eisenberg is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Eisenberg is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Cushing II is controlling him well.

Cushing II shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Cushing II was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Cushing II can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Eisenberg is looking to escape.

Cushing II is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Eisenberg can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Cushing II has hold of Eisenberg's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Eisenberg manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Cushing II stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing.
Eisenberg swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Cushing II counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Cushing II postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Eisenberg is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Cushing II, into his guard.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Eisenberg throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Eisenberg tries to close the distance and clinch up but Cushing II swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Luca Eisenberg has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Eisenberg has left one of his arms exposed and Cushing II doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Eisenberg screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
