Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Gaje Kares (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tommy Redman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Gaje Kares has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Gaje Kares! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tommy Redman! The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Redman looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Kares is fending him off so far but Redman persists. Nope, Kares circles away and we're back to standing. Kares gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Redman counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Kares! Redman looking to secure an arm triangle but Kares defends it well. Kares is trying desperately to improve position. Redman has control of Kares's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Kares regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Kares keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Redman with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
That's one minute gone in the round. Redman working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. Redman looking to secure an arm triangle but Kares defends it well. Redman has hold of Kares's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Kares manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Redman is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Kares has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Kares! Redman looks gassed! Kares looking to pass the guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kares throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Redman is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Kares is aware though and is defending well. Kares is working Redman over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Kares wants to pass the guard but Redman is keeping the position. Redman looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Kares has picked Redman up and slammed him! Redman can't keep hold of the triangle and Kares manages to pass to side control! Redman is trying to get back to half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kares wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Redman, who protects the arm well. Kares working the strikes but Redman uses the opportunity to regain half guard. Kares lands with a punch from half guard. Redman looking for submissions off his back.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Redman slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Kares avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Kares knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Redman on the ground. Redman manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tommy Redman dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action!
Kares misses with a takedown so Redman counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Redman slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Redman is working to tighten is grip on Kares's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Kares has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Redman is really squeezing tight and eventually Kares passes out! Redman breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
