Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Johnny Nutz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bruce Barker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The fight stays on the outside here - Barker looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Barker lands a left and a right that send Nutz crashing to the mat, dazed. Barker thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
It looks like Johnny Nutz has been cut. Barker looks to land a combination but Nutz avoids it well. Nutz drives through with a takedown into guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Barker wants to stand up but Nutz is controlling him. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Nutz in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Nutz prevents Barker from getting back to his feet. Barker really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Nutz. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Nutz has gone for a leg lock! Barker slips out almost immediately though and dives into Nutz's guard. Nutz working a defensive guard here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nutz had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Barker defends it easily. Nutz is breathing heavily. Nutz is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Barker tries to stand but Nutz is controlling from the bottom. Nutz looking to hit a scissor sweep but Barker is one step ahead there.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nutz looking for a guillotine here but Barker defends easily.
Barker got a little sloppy there for a moment and Nutz has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Barker has managed to get both his arms back between Nutz's legs - danger averted. Barker wants to stand but Nutz is controlling his posture from full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nutz is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Barker is controlling him. Nutz has a closed guard, preventing Barker from standing up. Barker must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Nutz has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Barker can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Barker wants to get up but he can't break Nutz's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Barker is looking to clinch but Nutz is avoiding it.
Barker throws a big shot that misses. Barker stalks Nutz and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Nutz's face. Nutz staggers backwards, shaken. Barker pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Nutz tries for a takedown but Barker sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Barker wants to clinch up but Nutz keeps it at a distance. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Bruce Barker dominated that round. The cut man is working on Johnny Nutz's cut. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Barker tries a head kick but it misses.
Barker thuds his shin into the meat of Nutz's side. Nutz takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Barker dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Nutz. That did some damage! Barker tries to bum rush Nutz with a series of wild strikes but Nutz uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Barker lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Nutz circles away quickly and effectively. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Barker. Nutz misses with a straight right. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Barker lands with a kick to the temple. Nutz shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Barker moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Nutz shoots in but Barker avoids the takedown attempt easily. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Nutz blocks a head kick by Barker.
That's one minute gone in the round. Barker throws a right and a left that both miss. Barker misses with a wild combination.
Barker circles away from the clinch attempt.

Nutz fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Barker avoids it really well and circles away. Barker lands with a straight right. Nutz didn't see that one coming.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Barker lands with a nice body punch. Barker tries to clinch but fails miserably and Nutz counters with a takedown into side control. Barker is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Nutz is controlling him well. Nutz thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. The referee tells the fighters to keep busy. Barker is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Nutz has just dragged him back down to the mat. Nutz lands some shots froms side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nutz is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Barker looks calm but he's in trouble here. Nutz gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Barker is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Nutz lets go of the hold and Barker can pop his arm back in it's socket.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:23 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Johnny Nutz!
