Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Philly Jack (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joey Kocur (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Philly Jack has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Philly Jack! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Joey Kocur! The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Steve Erwin and Bruno Hogan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jack fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Jack shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Jack looking to control and managing it successfully. Poor strikes thrown by Jack there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Jack can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Kocur is looking to escape. Kocur blocking the ground and pound. Jack throws some wild stikes that Kocur manages to avoid easily.
Jack looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. Kocur really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jack avoids the attempt from Kocur to control. Jack thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
Jack misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Kocur is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Jack prevents Kocur from getting the reversal. Jack knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Kocur on the ground. Jack lands a big elbow.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Kocur is trying to get back to his feet but can't. Kocur takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Kocur slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. Kocur looks gassed! Kocur is staying active underneath Jack, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Jack is really struggling to control Kocur but he's trying to hold on to the position. Jack trying to mount his opponent but Kocur defends it. Jack is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Kocur gets back to full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kocur looking for a sweep. Not yet Kocur, not yet. Kocur keeping moving, preventing Jack from controlling successfully. Jack with a nice head shot there. Kocur keeping full guard, as Jack tries to pass. Kocur not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Jack is looking to work some ground and pound but Kocur has wrist control. Jack has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Kocur is trying to control the position but Jack postures up. Kocur keeping moving, preventing Jack from controlling successfully.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Jack gets a clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Jack breaks from the clinch.
Jack tries to score a power double leg takedown but Kocur sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Jack somewhat. Kocur swinging wilding here.
Jack shoots for a takedown but Kocur saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Philly Jack. That's going to take a lot out of him. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Jack is defended easily by Kocur. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Philly Jack dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Kocur displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Jack. Jack shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Kocur as he avoids it easily. Kocur shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Kocur shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Jack napping and manages to drive through into side control! Jack tries to buck Kocur off but Kocur is having none of it. Jack is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Kocur off and has taken his back! Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Jack gets his hands free as Kocur looks to control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Will Jack go for the finish here or will he try and keep control of the position?
Kocur breaks Jack's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
Kocur trying to control the position from guard on top but Jack is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Kocur prevents Jack from getting back to his feet. Kocur stopping the sweep attempt from Jack. Kocur wants to control from the top but Jack keeps moving.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Kocur misses with a kick to the body.
Kocur tries to clinch but Jack moves out of range. Jack throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Kocur was covering up waiting for the punch and Jack finishes the takedown easily into guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Jack throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Kocur works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jack slips nicely into half guard. Kocur is trying to control but can't.

Kocur throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Jack stays in close to Kocur's body and controls the position. Kocur preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Jack here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man. Jack has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Kocur is proving hard to escape from. Jack is looking to advance position but Kocur has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount! Kocur trying to control but he's not successful this time. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Kocur looking for a guillotine from mount but Jack is having none of it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Joey Kocur will probably get the nod - 10:9. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!
Kocur closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Jack is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Kocur breaks from the clinch.
Philly Jack is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Jack tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Jack misses with a takedown and Kocur counters with a single leg into guard. Jack didn't expect that. Jack keeping moving, preventing Kocur from controlling successfully. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Jack wants to stand and escape but Kocur is having none of it.

Kocur won't allow Jack to sweep him here. Kocur stays in close to Jack's body and controls the position. Kocur decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Jack shoots in for a double leg but Kocur sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Kocur shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Jack is trying to defend but Kocur finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Jack is refusing to be controlled, as Kocur sits in half guard. Kocur stands up out of the half guard. Kocur wants to clinch. Jack with a lazy takedown attempt and Kocur counters with a nice double leg into guard. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Philly Jack. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kocur is stalling in the full guard. Jack wants to sweep here but Kocur controlling him for the moment. Kocur wants to control from the top but Jack keeps moving. Kocur gets to his feet - Jack follows without any prompting. Kocur doesn't succeed with the takedown and Jack counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Jack.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kocur escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Jack gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Jack thows a big elbow that misses. Jack is stalling in the full guard. Kocur is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Jack is controlling him. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Kocur is trying to keep Jack in close.
And that's the end of the fight! Joey Kocur comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Kocur has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
