Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Daniel Braathen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Freddy Wilder (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Braathen comes to the ring accompanied by Reptile Theme. Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Daniel Braathen! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Freddy Wilder! The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Shigeki Sano and Yasuomi Hirokawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wilder closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. Wilder throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
No luck for Braathen with that takedown attempt. Wilder misses with an uppercut. Wilder throws the left hand but Braathen avoids the punch easily. Braathen moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Wilder pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Braathen will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Wilder connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Braathen momentarily.
Braathen drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Wilder working for a triangle but Braathen defends it easily.
Wilder escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Braathen gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Wilder working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Braathen. Wilder working for a triangle but Braathen defends it easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Braathen sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Wilder's guard. Braathen is taking a breather. Wilder says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Braathen has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Wilder is trying desperately to improve position. Braathen pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Braathen controlling from the full mount. Wilder tries to reverse the position but Braathen maintains control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wilder is trying to reverse the position but instead Braathen has taken his back - oops! Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Braathen tightening his grip on Wilder, looking for the choke. Braathen is trying to stick to Wilder's back but Wilder is turning into Braathen. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Braathen's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Wilder. Braathen controls Wilder momentarily but Wilder frees himself. Braathen working for a triangle but Wilder defends it easily.

Wilder drops back looking for a leg! Braathen is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Braathen manages to kick Wilder off! Wilder jumps back into Braathen's guard. Wilder thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Wilder looks gassed!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Braathen looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Braathen can't keep his opponent in guard - Wilder advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Braathen moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Braathen is looking for a triangle but Wilder pushes his legs off easily.
Wilder is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Braathen is trying to control the position but Wilder postures up. Braathen has his foot on Wilder's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Wilder works his way back into a safe position though.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Wilder drops back looking for a leg! Braathen is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Braathen manages to kick Wilder off! Wilder jumps back into Braathen's guard. Braathen looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

That was a close round but I would say that Daniel Braathen will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Wilder doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Braathen throws a nice inside leg kick. Braathen scores with a jab to the body. Braathen uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Wilder. Braathen throws a nice looking combination but Wilder bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Braathen closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Wilder to the mat! Wilder manages to get full guard. Braathen works a leg free and moves into half guard. Wilder looking for submissions off his back. Braathen is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Wilder wants to get back to full guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Braathen passes to side control. Braathen cracks Wilder with an elbow. That is naaassty. Braathen is staying tight to Wilder's torso, preventing him from escaping. Braathen wants to lay and pray for a moment but Wilder keeps working. Braathen working the body and head with strikes. Wilder tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Braathen wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Wilder is not content to let Braathen control the position. Braathen tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wilder tries to get back to half guard but can't. Wilder is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Braathen wants to control but Wilder is keeping him busy.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Wilder defending well as Braathen loads up on a big left hand. Wilder scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Braathen doesn't seem bothered though. Wilder connects with a good right hand that stumbles Braathen. Braathen circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Wilder throws a wild body kick that Braathen sees coming a mile off. Wilder scores with a body shot.
Wilder gets caught flat footed, as Braathen shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Braathen passes Wilder's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Braathen thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Braathen controlling the pace. Braathen's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Wilder is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Braathen pulls his head out easily. Braathen wants to lay and pray for a moment but Wilder keeps working. Braathen looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Wilder with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Wilder is staying active underneath Braathen, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Braathen prevents Wilder from improving his position. Wilder actively working from the bottom here. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Daniel Braathen dominated that second round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!
Braathen lands a lovely overhand right. Braathen throws a right and a left that both miss. Braathen tries to bum rush Wilder with a series of wild strikes but Wilder uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Braathen moves away from the strike by Wilder. Braathen shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Wilder sprawls well. Wilder wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Braathen gets slowly back to his feet. A swing and a miss from Braathen. Wilder scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Braathen staying out of range there. Wilder misses with a hook. Braathen ducked under it nicely. Braathen changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Wilder tries to avoid it but Braathen manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Wilder to the ground. Wilder escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Nice shot lands for Wilder. Braathen throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
That's one minute gone in the round. Braathen walks into a straight right hand from Wilder. Braathen gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Braathen throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Wilder's waist but Wilder gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Braathen off to one side. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Daniel Braathen. That's going to take a lot out of him. Braathen looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Wilder is fending him off so far but Braathen persists. Nope, Wilder circles away and we're back to standing. Wilder misses with a hook. Braathen ducked under it nicely. Wilder lands a with a good body shot. Wilder tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Braathen was well out of range. Poor timing from Wilder. Braathen takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Wilder looks to land a left hand but Braathen moved out of range nicely. Wilder misses with a looping left. Wilder connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Braathen momentarily.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Braathen takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Braathen ducks under a wild hook from Wilder. Braathen cracks Wilder with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Wilder misses with a body shot.
A telegraphed right hand from Wilder misses the target. Braathen shoots in but no luck this time. Braathen shoots in and drives through. Wilder sprawls well. Wilder scores with a hook. A left lands for Wilder. Wilder misses with a wild body shot. Freddy Wilder is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Braathen moves forwards but Wilder connects with a nice, crisp jab. Wilder throws a lazy right hand but Braathen sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Wilder misses with a shot to the body and Braathen counters with a nice uppercut. A good leg kick by Braathen.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The fighters circling - Braathen throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Wilder takes a swing at Braathen's ribcage but misses. Braathen fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Wilder on the side of the head. Wilder bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Wilder throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Braathen stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Braathen lands an overhand right. Braathen misses the jab. Braathen moves away from the strike by Wilder. Braathen is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Wilder's half guard. Wilder looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Wilder actively working from the bottom here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Braathen uses his free foot to push down on Wilder's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Wilder. Wilder is trying desperately to improve position. Freddy Wilder has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Braathen looking to control and managing it successfully.
And that's the end of the fight! Freddy Wilder comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Braathen has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
