Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between KooK Connor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Justin Angle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Angle is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Domination. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, KooK Connor! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Justin Angle! The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Summer Carpenter and Eliza Hachem.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Angle shoots in and drives through. Connor sprawls well. Connor misses with a body shot.
Angle throws a nice looking combination but Connor bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Angle will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Connor throws a right and a left that both miss. Connor moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Connor moves into range and clinches up with Angle. Connor's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Angle tries to bum rush Connor with a series of wild strikes but Connor uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Connor staying out of range there. Angle misses with a straight right. A shot to de liver by Connor. Beautiful body shot. Connor tries to clinch but Angle is having none of it. Angle looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Connor dodges the punch combination from Angle.
Angle takes a shot right to the bread basket. Angle looks gassed! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Connor fails with an attempt to clinch.

A left and a right from Connor both land. Nice combination.
That's one minute gone in the round. Connor fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Angle, pushing him back against the cage. Angle has had enough of the clinch but Connor keeps him there for the moment. Connor with a knee to the head.

Connor effectively controlling the action here. Connor pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Connor tries to close the distance and clinch up but Angle swats him away and circles back towards the center. Angle misses with a double jab
and Connor counters with a left and a right that stings Angle. Connor connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Angle momentarily.

Angle throws a shot from downtown. Connor moves away and avoids it. Connor darts in and clinches Angle up against the cage. A body shot lands from Angle.
Angle effectively controlling the action here. Connor lands a good knee to the midsection. Angle won't want to take too many of those. Angle's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Angle misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Connor tries to clinch up. Connor fails in his attempt to clinch. Angle scores with a three punch combo!
Angle looks to score with a jab to the body but Connor is just out of range. Connor plants his feet and lands a nice head kick! Angle tries to clinch but Connor moves out of range. Angle takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
This has been an exciting period of action! Nice defenses there by Connor. KooK Connor is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Connor cracks the inside of Angle's front leg. Connor lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Angle pulls Connor into guard.
Connor wants to stand and escape but instead Angle has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Angle with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Angle stands up over Connor, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Angle won't allow Connor to sweep him here. Angle stands up from Connor's guard - Angle perhaps looking for a knockout. Connor uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Angle. Angle fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Angle misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. KooK Connor has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Justin Angle. Connor moves in looking to clinch but Angle pushes him off. Angle fails with a takedown attempt. A head kick misses from Connor.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Angle tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Angle fails with an attempt to clinch.

Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Angle misses the jab. Angle slips under a jab. Angle throws a series of punches but Connor avoids them all with ease. Donk. Angle catches Connor right on the button with a cross. Angle looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Angle shoots in but no luck this time. Angle rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Connor moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Connor is looking to clinch. Angle lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Connor circles away quickly and effectively. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Angle darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Angle misses with a two punch combination.
Connor throws a right and a left that both miss. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
KooK Connor dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Angle misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Connor clinches but Angle breaks the clinch and Angle counters by clinching up. Angle wants to break free but Connor has control.

Angle tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Connor avoids it. Angle's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Angle avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Connor throws a head kick but Angle moves out of range.
KooK Connor is winning the standup battle so far. Angle tries to clinch there but Connor circles away.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Angle!
Angle swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Connor counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Nice sprawl there from Connor as Angle shoots in. Angle throws a right and a left that Connor avoids nicely. Connor tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. The fight stays on the outside here - Angle looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Angle tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Connor counters with a straight right hand.
That's one minute gone in the round. Angle keeps the fight on the outside. Connor fails in his attempt to clinch. Angle throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
It looks like KooK Connor has been cut. Angle lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.

Angle swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Angle throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Connor stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Connor tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Angle scores with the left hand. Connor knows he should have avoided that one. Angle shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Connor but Connor pushes him off and we're back to square one. Connor is looking to clinch. Angle lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Angle shoots in but Connor avoids the takedown attempt easily. KooK Connor has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Justin Angle. A head kick misses from Connor. A low kick from Angle is predictable there and Connor holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Angle breaks the clinch.
Angle throws a right and a left that both miss. Connor wants to clinch but Angle slips to the side and Angle counters with a lovely straight right hand! A combination from Angle does no damage. Connor scores with a jab to the body. Connor tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Connor checks a leg kick nicely. Angle shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Angle was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Connor is in all sorts of trouble here.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Angle looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Connor in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. The referee warns Connor that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Angle with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

Connor wants to hold on but Angle pushes him away. Connor is trying to stand up. Connor on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Connor tries to get out of the position. Connor is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Angle has hold of Connor's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Connor manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Connor wants to try and get back to his feet. Connor is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Angle raining down shots from the mount! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Connor can't escape the position.
Angle is landing with some decent strikes but Connor is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Connor is looking to get to half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Justin Angle showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on KooK Connor's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!
Angle gets the takedown into side control. Angle decides to stand back up. Connor fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Connor lands with a thumping leg kick.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Angle is defended easily by Connor. Connor connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Angle momentarily.
Angle shoots in for a takedown but Connor shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Connor is looking to wear down Angle with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. Connor moves into the clinch successfully.
Angle pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Connor wants to clinch and Angle counters with a shoot takedown. Connor fights it but they end up in guard. Both fighters are breathing heavily. This has been an exciting period of action! Angle has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Connor is proving hard to escape from. Connor pushes Angle off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.

Connor throws a low kick but it's checked well by Angle. Angle works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Angle shoots in for a takedown but Connor shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. KooK Connor has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Justin Angle. Some wild striking there from Angle.
Angle scores with a punch to the head. Connor fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Angle. Connor showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Angle.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Angle working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Connor doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Connor manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Connor wants to stand but Angle has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Angle is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Connor wanted to stand there but Angle had control of the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Angle is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Let's hope that Angle has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Angle pushes Connor off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there. Angle shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Connor pinned against the cage. Connor gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Connor attempts a low kick but it misses it's target. Angle misses with a series of wild punches.

Connor looks to clinch letting Angle counter with a right hand. Angle will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Angle fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Connor on the side of the head. A solid leg kick lands there for Connor.

And that's the end of the fight! Justin Angle comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Angle has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
