Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Salvatore Misawa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and brandon haag (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). haag has chosen buckcherry too drunk as his entrance music. brandon haag looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Misawa shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. haag manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
haag looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!

Misawa has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Misawa throws a big right hand that misses.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
You can see the frustration on haag's face as Misawa controls the position.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Misawa controlling well, preventing haag from escaping the position.

Misawa is persistently looking for the submission but haag is defending it well.
You can see the frustration on haag's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! And we move into the final round!


The fight stays on the outside here - Misawa looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! haag crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Misawa - the referee stops the clock and haag gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Misawa. haag manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Misawa pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Misawa putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has haag in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body.

Misawa has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics haag uses from the top position.
Misawa on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Misawa tries to get out of the position.
Misawa is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Misawa manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. haag manages to get himself to full guard.

Misawa seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down haag for as long as he can get away with.

Misawa is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in haag's half guard.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Misawa connects with a nice short shot to haag's temple.
haag wants to get back to his feet.

Well Misawa has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
