Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Charlie Jacobs! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Alan Winters! The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Steven Brown and Donald Grub.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Winters scores a takedown into full mount! Winters prevents Jacobs from getting the reversal. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Winters takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Winters is landing with some decent strikes but Jacobs is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Winters trying to control but he's not successful this time. Winters is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Jacobs can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

That's one minute gone in the round. Winters might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Jacobs kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Winters avoids the attempt from Jacobs to control. Winters controlling from the full mount. Jacobs manages to work a leg through to get back to half guard here. Good work there by Jacobs, under a barage of strikes from Winters.
Jacobs on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Jacobs tries to get out of the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Winters is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Jacobs actively working from the bottom here. Winters seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Jacobs tries to kick Winters off but Winters keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Winters not landing any meaningful shots this time. Jacobs controlling the leg, holding on to half guard. Winters wants to stand but Jacobs has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now. Jacobs is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Winters scores with a couple of nice shots. Winters prevents Jacobs from improving his position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Jacobs slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Jacobs tries to land a sweep but no joy. Jacobs is working hard here to advance position. Jacobs seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Jacobs is working an open guard so Winters takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Alan Winters dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Winters fails with a takedown attempt. Winters fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Jacobs avoids it really well and circles away. Jacobs clinches up with Winters and pushes him back against the cage. Jacobs has clasped his hands together around Winters's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. Winters avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Jacobs. Winters manages to work his way to half guard, despite Jacobs's best efforts. Winters is breathing heavily. Winters tries to kick Jacobs off but Jacobs keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Jacobs is trying to control the action in half guard but Winters is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jacobs thows a huge punch but Winters dodges it nicely.
Jacobs controlling the action here. Jacobs is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Winters kicks Jacobs off and gets back to his feet. Jacobs tries for a takedown but Winters circles away easily and Winters holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Winters prevents the takedown attempt.
Jacobs is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Winters can't fight it off and eventually Jacobs manages to take the fight to the floor. Winters looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. Winters has Jacobs pulled in close to control his posture.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jacobs keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Winters's head. Winters keeping moving, preventing Jacobs from controlling successfully. Winters controls Jacobs momentarily but Jacobs frees himself. Jacobs postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Jacobs prevents Winters from getting back to his feet. Jacobs with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Jacobs is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Winters's half guard. Jacobs working over Winters with some ground and pound. Winters looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Winters trying to control here but he's found himself mounted! Oh no!
Winters wants to try and get back to his feet. Winters is looking to get to half guard. Jacobs in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Winters wants to control but Jacobs is having none of it. Winters wants to try and get back to his feet. Jacobs can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Winters is looking to escape. Winters is trying desperately to improve position. Jacobs landing punches. Jacobs lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Jacobs prevents Winters from getting the reversal. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Charlie Jacobs dominated that second round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!
Winters tries to clinch up and Jacobs counters with a nice double leg into side control. Winters won't be happy with that. Jacobs looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Jacobs throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. The strikes coming from Jacobs are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Charlie Jacobs overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Winters striking from the bottom but nothing landed.
Winters manages to work his way to half guard, despite Jacobs's best efforts. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Winters looks like he's trying to stand up.
Winters is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Jacobs's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Jacobs's back!
That's one minute gone in the round. Jacobs controlling the position well but he knows he's in a bad position. Winters tries to get the hooks in deep but Jacobs pushed the leg off. You can see the frustration on Jacobs's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
A bit of a pause in the action here. Winters controlling the positon. Winters throwing sloppy strikes.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Jacobs has his hands over his head blocking the strikes from Winters. Jacobs covering up well under a barage of strikes. Winters is looking to control Jacobs but Jacobs is wriggling around and keeping busy. Winters working for a RNC but it's not happening just yet. Jacobs rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Winters is looking to stall here but Jacobs recovers full guard. Jacobs is trying to control the position but Winters postures up. Winters decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Jacobs, up you get!
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Winters misses with a takedown attempt and Jacobs counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Winters trying to control here.
Winters is looking for a sweep. Jacobs is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Winters landing rabbit punches to the side of Jacobs's head. Not doing much damage but still scoring a few points. Jacobs wants to control but Winters is keeping him busy. Jacobs throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Winters is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Jacobs's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Jacobs's back! Winters controlling from the back. Jacobs is defending well here and trying to improve his position.
