The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Sonnen is defended easily by Teobaldo.
Teobaldo tries to bum rush Sonnen with a series of wild strikes but Sonnen uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Sonnen fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Jose Teobaldo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Teobaldo leaves Sonnen with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Jose Teobaldo has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chael Sonnen.
Teobaldo misses with a two punch combination.
Teobaldo misses with a double jab.
Teobaldo lands a left and a right that send Sonnen crashing to the mat, dazed. Teobaldo thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
It looks like Chael Sonnen has been cut.
Teobaldo could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Teobaldo drops Sonnen with a straight right hand, right on the button! Teobaldo follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!
