Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Martin Hass (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paul Ooka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Martin Hass! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Paul Ooka! The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Tarja Halkonen and Marco Blurström.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ooka walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Hass checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. Hass shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Ooka as he jumps to the side. Ooka has his takedown stuffed and Hass counters with a shoot takedown. Ooka fights it but they end up in guard. Ooka is trying to control the position but Hass postures up. Ooka keeping moving, preventing Hass from controlling successfully. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Ooka doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Ooka is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Hass avoids a punch combination nicely.
Hass shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Ooka pinned against the cage. Ooka gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Ooka misses with a series of wild punches.
Excellent takedown into side control there by Ooka. Ooka trying to control the action but Hass is working from the bottom. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ooka swings around for an armbar but Hass sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Ooka's guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hass stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Ooka swivels though and keeps the full guard. Hass scoring with punches to the head and body. Ooka keeping full guard, as Hass tries to pass. Hass postures up.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Ooka working for a triangle but Hass defends it easily.
Hass drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Hass jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Ooka has his takedown stuffed and Hass counters with a nice double leg into guard. Hass works a leg free and moves into half guard. Hass is looking to take a break and control but Ooka is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Ooka wants to get back to full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ooka taking some punishment here, with Hass in his half guard. Hass looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Hass is breathing heavily. Ooka looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Ooka tries to roll over but Hass keeps him under control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ooka manages to escape and get back to his feet! Ooka gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Hass counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Hass.

Hass decides to stand back up. Hass closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Ooka did well to prevent Hass getting side control. Hass scoring with strikes to the body and head. Ooka wants to control but Hass is keeping busy and won't allow it. Ooka is trying to get back to full guard.

Ooka is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Hass trying to pass the guard but Ooka defending well. Ooka tries to roll over but Hass keeps him under control. Ooka is looking to control Hass's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Ooka avoid being mounted?

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Ooka just misses with a punch to the body.
Hass throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Ooka was covering up waiting for the punch and Hass finishes the takedown easily into guard. Ooka controls Hass momentarily but Hass frees himself. Hass lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Hass avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Hass is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hass pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Ooka is keeping the position for now. Ooka manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Ooka lands a head kick!
Ooka throws a sloppy head kick and Hass moves out of range easily. No joy there for Ooka, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Ooka ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Hass moves away. Ooka throws a series of strikes that have Hass backpedaling.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. No luck with that takedown attempt from Hass. Ooka ducks down and throws a hook to the body. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Martin Hass dominated that second round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

That's one minute gone in the round. Ooka bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Hass's guard. Hass being controlled here, momentarily. Hass wants to stand and escape but Ooka is having none of it. Ooka trying to control the position from guard on top but Hass is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Ooka stopping the sweep attempt from Hass.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. That's four minutes gone in the round. Ooka working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Hass. Hass stopping the sweep attempt from Ooka. Ooka has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Hass can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Hass with a nice head shot there.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Martin Hass. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Hass, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent.
