The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Trayne tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Trayne lands with a nice combination. Mae backs away looking to recover.
It looks like Nomi Mae has been cut.
Mae gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Trayne trying to control but Mae is working from the bottom.
Trayne is standing up over Mae. Mae looks to escape but Trayne dives into side control.

Mae regains half guard.
Mae won't allow Trayne to pass to mount.
Mae is staying active underneath Trayne, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Mae wants to control but Trayne is keeping busy.

Mae keeps control of the position for the meantime.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Mae pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Mae clinches but Trayne breaks the clinch
and Trayne decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Mae's guard.
Trayne wants to control from the top but Mae keeps moving.
Mae is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a tringle but Trayne frees his head nicely. Oh but Mae has switched to an armbar! Trayne is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
