Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between mike carlos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andres Garcia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, mike carlos! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Andres Garcia! The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Anthony Taglia and Bruno Lombardi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! carlos tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Garcia paws at him with a jab and circles away. carlos has a takedown stuffed. mike carlos seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. carlos shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Garcia pinned against the cage. Garcia gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. carlos is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Garcia's half guard. carlos is trying to control. Garcia wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
That's one minute gone in the round. carlos is stalling here. Garcia is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! carlos seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Garcia has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work. Garcia tries to move to mount but carlos blocks the move with his legs. Garcia slows the pace down. carlos is positioning himself to get back to half guard. carlos prevents Garcia from improving position.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. carlos looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for mike carlos. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. carlos lands a high kick!
carlos shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Garcia is trying to defend but carlos finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. carlos is trying to control. Garcia wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Garcia tries to roll over but carlos keeps him under control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. carlos throws a strike but Garcia avoids it easily and moves to full guard. Garcia keeping full guard, as carlos tries to pass. carlos is breathing heavily. Garcia throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. carlos stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Garcia swivels though and keeps the full guard. carlos wants to control from the top but Garcia keeps moving. carlos really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Garcia tries to clinch and carlos counters with a nice double leg into side control. Garcia won't be happy with that. Garcia should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. carlos tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
mike carlos dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
carlos wants to clinch but Garcia slips to the side and Garcia counters by clinching up. carlos tries to pull guard but Garcia won't allow it.
Garcia keeps the fight in the clinch, despite carlos's efforts to push away. Garcia missing with knees to the body.
Garcia successfully pulls guard.
carlos is looking to advance position but Garcia has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount! Garcia looking to control and managing it successfully. Garcia wants to control the pace but carlos is squirming around nicely. Garcia sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
That's one minute gone in the round. carlos is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Garcia can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as carlos is looking to escape. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Garcia takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. carlos is looking to improve his position but Garcia isn't that keen on the idea.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Garcia controlling his opponent. Garcia jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but carlos manages to avoid the submission attempt. carlos explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there! carlos scores with a head kick.
That's three minutes gone in the round. carlos checks a leg kick. Garcia stuffs the takedown. No luck with that takedown attempt from carlos. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for mike carlos. That's going to take a lot out of him. Garcia fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with carlos, pushing him back against the cage. carlos avoids a wild elbow strike from Garcia. A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors. Garcia manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. carlos trying to control the position from guard on top but Garcia is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. carlos looking to sit in guard and control but Garcia gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Garcia slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Let's hope that Garcia has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Andres Garcia showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!
carlos shoots in but Garcia avoids the takedown attempt easily. Garcia tries to clinch up. carlos connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Garcia throws and low kick but carlos moves out of range easily. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. No luck with that takedown attempt from carlos. Garcia tries to land a front kick but carlos steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. carlos shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Garcia pinned against the cage. Garcia gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for mike carlos. That's going to take a lot out of him. carlos is looking to chop away at Garcia's legs. No luck for carlos with that takedown attempt. Garcia instigates a clinch. Garcia jumps into guard, dragging carlos to the mat.
carlos trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Garcia keeping moving, preventing carlos from controlling successfully. carlos will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. carlos looking to sit in guard and control but Garcia gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Garcia wants to pass the guard but carlos is keeping the position. carlos wants to sweep here but Garcia controlling him for the moment. Garcia passes carlos's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Garcia sitting and controlling from the half guard. carlos has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Garcia is working away from the top position though. carlos wants to improve his position but Garcia is controlling well.
Garcia maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! carlos could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Garcia has cracked it and carlos is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Garcia!
