Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Yefar Mehwadi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jose Aldo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mehwadi's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Khe Sahn. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Yefar Mehwadi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jose Aldo!
The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Reed Andrews and Lou da Vinci.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aldo lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
Aldo closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Mehwadi is pressing down on Aldo's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Aldo drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Mehwadi dives on top into guard.
Aldo is trying to keep Mehwadi in close.
Aldo has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Aldo is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Mehwadi passes into half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Aldo holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.
Mehwadi prevents Aldo from improving his position.
Mehwadi is trying to control the action in half guard but Aldo is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Aldo trying to get back to full guard but Mehwadi takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount!
Mehwadi takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Mehwadi throwing strikes here but Aldo is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Mehwadi wants to control the pace but Aldo is squirming around nicely.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Aldo tries to control the position but Mehwadi now has his back.
Aldo is really stuck here.
Mehwadi is working the ground and pound. Can Aldo escape?
Aldo looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment.
Mehwadi has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Aldo has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
Mehwadi punches the canvas rather than the man.
Aldo trying to control the position but Mehwadi manages to sink in the hooks.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Will Mehwadi go for the finish here or will he try and keep control of the position?
Mehwadi is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Aldo is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
I really don't envy Aldo right now.

Mehwadi working for the rear naked choke here. He's got one arm under but Aldo is defending well. A couple of punches soften him up though and Mehwadi has tightened the hold! This one could be all over! It is! Aldo taps out!
