The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Dasari connects with a nice short shot to Gomes's temple.
Gomes really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Dasari. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Dasari is trying to control the action in half guard but Gomes is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Gomes throws a head kick but Dasari moves out of range.
Dasari displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Gomes throws out the jab.
Dasari throws a leg kick which misses Gomes's front leg but catches the back leg as Gomes tries to avoid it.
Dasari throws a front kick that sends Gomes stumbling back into the cage.
Pasha Dasari seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Dasari throws a shot to the body.
Gomes drops his hands momentarily and Dasari needs no second invitation. He sets himself and throws a perfect high kick, that clips Gomes just on the top of the head. Gomes drops like a sack of potatoes to the canvas, out cold! Oooooooh yeah! Stick a fork in Gomes - he's done!
