Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Pasha Dasari (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Plinio Gomes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dasari comes to the cage accompanied by Stinkfist. Pasha Dasari could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Plinio Gomes's chin.

3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Plinio Gomes! The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Alexandre Firmino and Daniel Cesar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dasari moves into range and throws a big uppercut. OH! Gomes goes down! Can Dasari finish him!?

It looks like Plinio Gomes has been cut. Dasari is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Gomes is still in real trouble! Can Dasari finish him? Gomes working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Dasari. Gomes seems to have recovered his senses. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Gomes wants to stand up but Dasari is controlling him. Dasari throws a big right hand that misses. Let's see if Gomes can do anything to dispel that myth. Dasari postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Gomes avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Gomes wants to get back to his feet but Dasari is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Dasari lands a couple of elbows. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Dasari trying to control the position from guard on top but Gomes is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Dasari missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Gomes keeping moving, preventing Dasari from controlling successfully.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dasari lands a couple of elbows. Dasari stops Gomes from standing up. Dasari pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Gomes is keeping the position for now. Dasari thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Dasari loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Dasari working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Dasari moves out of range as Gomes throws a body kick.

That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Dasari drives through with a takedown into guard. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Dasari connects with a nice short shot to Gomes's temple. Gomes really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Dasari. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Dasari is trying to control the action in half guard but Gomes is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Gomes looks like he's trying to stand up.

Dasari lands a nice forearm strike.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dasari wants to lay and pray for a moment but Gomes keeps working. Dasari is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Gomes is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Dasari cracks Gomes with a big elbow. Dasari scoring with punches and elbows. Gomes taking a bit of punishment here - Dasari scoring with strikes. Dasari tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Dasari has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Dasari working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Gomes tries to escape but Dasari is in control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Dasari grinds an elbow into Gomes's temple. Dasari lands a decent elbow from side control. Gomes striking from the bottom but nothing landed.
Gomes tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Dasari wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Gomes taking a bit of punishment here - Dasari scoring with strikes. Dasari wants to lay and pray for a moment but Gomes keeps working. Dasari working the ground and pound. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Dasari creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots. Dasari scores with punches from side control. Dasari lands some shots froms side control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Pasha Dasari dominated that round. The cut man is working on Plinio Gomes's cut. That's time! Back to the action!
Gomes throws a head kick but Dasari moves out of range.
Dasari displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Gomes throws out the jab. Dasari throws a leg kick which misses Gomes's front leg but catches the back leg as Gomes tries to avoid it. Dasari throws a front kick that sends Gomes stumbling back into the cage. Pasha Dasari seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Dasari throws a shot to the body.
Gomes drops his hands momentarily and Dasari needs no second invitation. He sets himself and throws a perfect high kick, that clips Gomes just on the top of the head. Gomes drops like a sack of potatoes to the canvas, out cold! Oooooooh yeah! Stick a fork in Gomes - he's done!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:19 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Pasha Dasari!
