Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ryan Rider (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frank Pembelton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pembelton comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Hail Mary by Tupac kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Frank Pembelton has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Ryan Rider's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ryan Rider! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Frank Pembelton! The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Alyssa Summers and Dean Styles.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rider is looking to chop away at Pembelton's legs. Rider shoots in and drives through. Pembelton sprawls well. Rider does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Rider is defended easily by Pembelton. Rider shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Pembelton sprawls well. Pembelton wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Rider gets slowly back to his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ryan Rider. That's going to take a lot out of him. Pembelton moves out of range of the leg kick from Rider. Rider looks for a takedown but Pembelton sprawls well. Pembelton keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Rider shoots in for a takedown but Pembelton shows good takedown defense. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Pembelton shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Pembelton tries to control but Rider wriggling away. Pembelton is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Rider is surviving well by controlling Pembelton's body position as best he can. Rider is looking to get to half guard.

Rider in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Pembelton looking for a guillotine here but Rider defends easily.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Rider working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Pembelton looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Pembelton closes the distance and clinches. Rider changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Pembelton fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Rider misses with a takedown and Pembelton connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Pembelton feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Pembelton sitting in guard here, content to control. Rider looking to hit a scissor sweep but Pembelton is one step ahead there. That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Rider with a nice head shot there. Rider tries to free his leg and advance position but Pembelton is retaining full guard. Pembelton manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Rider is looking to get to half guard. Pembelton controlling the position easily from mount. Pembelton misses with a head shot. Pembelton trying to control but Rider is having none of it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Rider closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Pembelton to the mat! Pembelton manages to get full guard. Rider lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Pembelton looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Rider takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Pembelton is trying to get back to full guard.

Rider with a flurry of punches that miss. Pembelton has momentary wrist control but Rider slips an elbow through the middle. Rider wants to control from the top but Pembelton keeps moving. Pembelton working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Rider. Rider lands a couple of digs. Pembelton wants to sweep but no luck. Rider trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Rider distracts Pembelton with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Rider throws and elbow that misses. Pembelton uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Rider's guard. Nice move by Pembelton! Pembelton trying to control the position from guard on top but Rider is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Rider wants to hit a switch here but Pembelton passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Rider there! Rider can't escape the position.

Pembelton dives in and grabs Rider's left leg, looking for a takedown. Rider pushes down on Pembelton's head and hops out. Ryan Rider seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Rider misses with a takedown attempt and Pembelton counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Pembelton wants to work for an arm triangle but Rider is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Rider regains half guard there - taking advantage of Pembelton's attempt to lay and pray for a moment. Pembelton content to control rather than advance. Rider trying to control but Pembelton postures up.
Rider regains full guard. Nicely done. Rider lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Pembelton!

The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Rider working away from the top, dropping strikes. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Rider cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

That's four minutes gone in the round. Pembelton tries to hold on but Rider pushes him away. Rider trying to control but he's not successful this time. Rider is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Pembelton can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Rider breaks from Pembelton's wrist control and lands an elbow. Rider with a couple of short strikes. Rider looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
Rider lands a big shot to the head and Pembelton winces in pain. He's tapped out due to strikes!
