Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Vladislav Kyznetsov! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Feliks Petrov! The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Vladimir Khabensky and Igor Prikhodko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kyznetsov ducks under a wild hook from Petrov. Kyznetsov tests Petrov's chin there with a solid looking shot. Kyznetsov lands with a cross. Kyznetsov buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Kyznetsov misses with a double jab.
Petrov rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Kyznetsov moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Kyznetsov chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Kyznetsov needs to keep his hands up - Petrov had a free shot at his head there. Kyznetsov buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Good leg kick by Kyznetsov there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Petrov throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Kyznetsov counters with a nice uppercut. Kyznetsov throws out a powerful jab. Kyznetsov plants his feet and lands a nice head kick! Petrov wants to clinch up but Kyznetsov keeps it at a distance. Nice straight punches there by Kyznetsov. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Kyznetsov. Kyznetsov cracks a nice hook into Petrov's ribs. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Petrov takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Kyznetsov lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Petrov misses with a combination
and Kyznetsov counters with a leg kick. Kyznetsov throws a nice inside leg kick.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kyznetsov lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Kyznetsov lands a jab to Petrov's midsection. Kyznetsov feints and then cracks Petrov's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Petrov down. Kyznetsov buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Petrov looks gassed! Kyznetsov throws a nice outside leg kick. Kyznetsov throws a head kick that half lands.
Kyznetsov lands a with a good body shot. Kyznetsov throws a head kick that looked like it stung.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Petrov takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Kyznetsov is looking to clinch. Kyznetsov connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Kyznetsov lands with a slapping head kick. Kyznetsov moves into the clinch. Kyznetsov is trying to maintain a safe position but Petrov gets an underhook and turns Kyznetsov into the cage. Petrov working hard to break the clinch. Kyznetsov lands an elbow just above Petrov 's eye.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Petrov is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Petrov is trying to break the clinch but Kyznetsov has him pressed against the cage. Petrov wants to break free but Kyznetsov has control.

It looks like Feliks Petrov has been cut. Petrov is trying to break the clinch but Kyznetsov is controlling him. Kyznetsov misses with an elbow strike.

Kyznetsov wants to clinch but Petrov slips to the side and Petrov counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Petrov. A battle for position here, against the cage. Petrov tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Kyznetsov just stands there and leans against the cage. Petrov controlling the action here for a moment.

That's three minutes gone in the round. With the fighters up against the cage, Kyznetsov throws an elbow but misses. Petrov breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Kyznetsov keeps the fight on the outside. Petrov tries to close the distance and clinch but Kyznetsov swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Petrov sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs. Kyznetsov throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Petrov stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Petrov fails in his attempt to clinch. Kyznetsov scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Kyznetsov, as that shot connected.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Kyznetsov.

Kyznetsov digs a good body shot into Petrov's ribs. Kyznetsov lands a nice hook to Petrov's body. Petrov takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Kyznetsov lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Kyznetsov scoring well with a low kick there.
Petrov is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Vladislav Kyznetsov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Petrov takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Petrov chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Kyznetsov can pounce on him.

Kyznetsov lands an elbow just above Petrov 's eye. Petrov has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Petrov blocks the elbow strike.
Kyznetsov lands an elbow inside. Petrov has Kyznetsov pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Kyznetsov manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Kyznetsov pushes off an throws an elbow but Petrov leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage. Nice elbow from Kyznetsov. Petrov wants to get back to striking at distance but Kyznetsov won't allow it.
Petrov takes an elbow to the temple. Kyznetsov lands an elbow that stopped Petrov in his tracks for a moment. Kyznetsov is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage. Petrov wants to get back to striking at distance but Kyznetsov won't allow it.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Kyznetsov is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Petrov is defending well for now. Petrov tries to break the clinch but Kyznetsov is controlling the position. Petrov gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. Petrov drops back, looking for a kneebar! Kyznetsov looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Kyznetsov looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Kyznetsov! Kyznetsov tries for a kimura but Petrov is defending well. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Vladislav Kyznetsov dominated that round. The cut man is working on Feliks Petrov's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Petrov takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Kyznetsov connects with a solid leg kick. Petrov shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Petrov in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Kyznetsov is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Kyznetsov regains half guard. Petrov prevents Kyznetsov from improving his position. Petrov seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Kyznetsov does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Petrov scoring with strikes to the body and head. Petrov performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Kyznetsov trying to hold on to Petrov's head to control him but Petrov postures up.

Kyznetsov gets full guard. Petrov wants to control from the top but Kyznetsov keeps moving. Petrov throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Kyznetsov has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Petrov can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Petrov looking to sit in guard and control but Kyznetsov gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Petrov is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Kyznetsov is aware though and is defending well. Petrov has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Kyznetsov can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Petrov escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Kyznetsov gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Petrov is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Kyznetsov slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Petrov is trying to control Kyznetsov's posture but Kyznetsov avoids it. Petrov gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there! Petrov can't escape the position.
Petrov tries to hold on but Kyznetsov pushes him away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Kyznetsov wants to take Petrov's back but he can't do it this time. Petrov working to try and regain half guard.
Kyznetsov quickly switches position and commits to an armbar! It's a big risk for Kyznetsov but it's paid off an Petrov is forced to tap! Nice work by Kyznetsov.
