PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Preston Schmidli (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rodel Hiligaynon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Schmidli comes into the arena with Billy Joel - Piano Man blaring out of the sound system. Rodel Hiligaynon will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Schmidli lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Hiligaynon circles away quickly and effectively.
Schmidli throws a hook to the side of Hiligaynon's head but Hiligaynon sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Schmidli shoots in looking for a takedown. Hiligaynon tries to sprawl out of it but Schmidli keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Hiligaynon manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Hiligaynon defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Schmidli.
Schmidli tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Hiligaynon throws a half hearted mid kick.
Schmidli tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Hiligaynon paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Schmidli shoots in but Hiligaynon avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Schmidli really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Hiligaynon feints a jab and as Schmidli dips his head, Hiligaynon unleashes a brutal head kick that catches Schmidli right on the jaw! Timbeeer! Schmidli falls backwards in slow motion, only propped up by the cage! Hiligaynon smiles a psychotic smile as he stares down his unconscious opponent. That is a scary man.
