Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Bart Timmons (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Louis Masson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Masson has chosen Iron Man as his entrance music. Louis Masson acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Timmons shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Masson is trying to defend but Timmons finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Masson should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Masson is trying to stand.
Timmons is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Timmons will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Timmons working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

I really don't envy Timmons right now.

Masson is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Timmons has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

The referee warns Timmons that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Timmons is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Masson has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Timmons closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

The referee asks Timmons politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Timmons prefers to stall for the moment though.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Timmons is nestled in close to Masson, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

The fighters are battling for position here. Masson manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Masson is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Masson working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Timmons doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Timmons manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Masson wants to control his opponent's hands but Timmons gets his hands free.
Bart Timmons overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Timmons looking to soften up his opponent with punches.
Timmons is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Timmons gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Timmons gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Timmons apologises and we restart here on the feet.

Timmons looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Masson with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Masson is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
