Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Hubert Rageface (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brian Cote (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cote tries to keep at a distance but Rageface has taken the fight into the clinch. Rageface has clasped his hands together around Cote's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. Cote is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Rageface is controlling him well. Rageface wants to control but Cote is keeping him busy. Rageface tries to advance to mount but can't. Cote is pushing Rageface's head away, looking to escape. Rageface manages to hold on to the position though. Rageface trying to control the action but Cote is working from the bottom. Cote tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Rageface wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Cote pushes Rageface away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Rageface gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. A shot to de liver by Cote. Beautiful body shot. Brian Cote seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Rageface fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Danga de danga de dang - Cote scores with a four punch combination!
That's one minute gone in the round. Cote works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Rageface looks for a takedown but Cote sprawls well. Cote looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Cote throws a series of punches but Rageface moves out of range. Rageface misses with a few strikes there.
Cote listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. Rageface shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Cote as he avoids it easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Hubert Rageface. That's going to take a lot out of him. Cote blocks a head kick by Rageface.
Rageface is breathing heavily. Rageface takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Cote lands with an uppercut that bounces Rageface off the cage and back into rage. Cote's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Cote duly obliges. Cote will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Cote keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Cote swats away the attempt to clinch by Rageface. Rageface fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Cote avoids it really well and circles away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cote wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Rageface on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.

Cote stuns Rageface with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Rageface takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Cote swinging wilding here.

Cote wants to clinch. Cote works over Rageface's head and body with a nice combination. Cote clobbers Rageface with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Cote connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cote lands a nice hook to Rageface's body. Rageface takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. A head kick misses from Rageface. Cote throws a good cross that connects.
Cote tries to clinch but Rageface is having none of it. Rageface walks into a left hand. A left lands for Cote. Cote scores with a jab to the jaw. Rageface shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Rageface showed some decent athleticism there. Cote slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Rageface with a flurry of punches that miss. Cote lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Rageface! Rageface is really trying hard to get back to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rageface sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. Cote tries to stand but can't do so whilst Rageface controls his leg. Cote stands up from half guard. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Cote shoots for a double leg takedown but Rageface sprawls well. He's pushed Cote's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Cote misses with a wild body shot. Cote throws a nice looking combination but Rageface bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Brian Cote dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Rageface closes the distance and pushes Cote back into the cage. Rageface breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Cote misses with a head kick.
Cote attempts a low kick but it misses it's target. Cote misses with a takedown attempt and Rageface counters by clinching up. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Cote. Rageface is trying to trip Cote. He has hold of a leg but Cote is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Rageface persists though and gets the takedown into guard. Rageface slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Rageface trying to control the position from guard on top but Cote is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Cote throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Rageface escapes and throws Cote's legs to the side, diving into side control! Cote is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cote is trying to work for a sweep but Rageface has mounted him! Cote is working to get back to half guard.
Rageface controlling his opponent. Cote is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Rageface takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Cote is trying to escape the mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Rageface controlling his opponent. Rageface unloads with some shots from mount but Cote bucks and avoids them well.
Cote wants to control but Rageface is having none of it. Rageface sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! Rageface prevents Cote from getting the reversal.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rageface sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Rageface is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Cote can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Rageface throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage. Rageface tries to control but Cote wriggling away. Cote tries to buck Rageface off but he can't manage it. Cote keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Cote is really trying hard to get back to his feet.
Cote tries to hold on but Rageface postures up. Rageface looking to control and managing it successfully. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Cote working to try and regain half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Hubert Rageface dominated that second round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!
The fighters circling - Cote throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Cote avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Rageface throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Cote scores with a decent looking hook. Rageface moves in looking to clinch but Cote pushes him off. Rageface tries to clinch there but Cote circles away.

Rageface walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Rageface shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Cote pinned against the cage. Cote gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Cote connects with a body shot. Both fighters are breathing heavily. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Rageface is trying hard to land a takedown here. Cote sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Cote clinches but Rageface breaks the clinch and Rageface counters by moving into the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cote tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Cote tries to work over Rageface's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Cote tries to pull guard but Rageface holds him up against the cage and eventually Cote drops back down to his feet.
Cote is trying to break the clinch but Rageface has him pressed against the cage. Rageface pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Rageface takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Cote looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Cote looks to land a combination. Rageface sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Cote fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Rageface is out of range. Rageface avoids a low kick by using good footwork. Rageface moves into the clinch successfully.
Rageface is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Hubert Rageface. That's going to take a lot out of him. Cote prevents a takedown attempt there.

Rageface tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Hubert Rageface is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. The fight moves into the clinch position. Cote tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Rageface scores a nice knee to the body.
Rageface lands with a right to the head. Rageface works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard. Rageface has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Cote escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Rageface gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Rageface is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Cote is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Rageface defends well. Cote has his foot on Rageface's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Rageface works his way back into a safe position though.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rageface controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Cote is looking to stand up but Rageface isn't so interested in that idea. Rageface slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Rageface trying to control but Cote is working from the bottom. Cote has his feet on Rageface's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Rageface takes one on the button. Cote will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
The fight moves into the clinch position. Rageface prevents Cote from breaking the clinch. Rageface breaks from the clinch.
Cote scores with a crisp jab that stopped Rageface in his tracks. Cote misses with a wild body shot. The fight moves into the clinch position. Rageface landing some nice looking knees to the body.

And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Hubert Rageface. I think Rageface has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
