Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Filipo Alexei (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Flavio Diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Alexei has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. This should be fireworks!

The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Seu Braga and Felipe Paraventi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Diaz bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Diaz is looking to take a break and control but Alexei is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Diaz is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Alexei is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Diaz thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Alexei throws an elbow to the body but it doesn't land.

Diaz takes his opponent's back. Perhaps a chance to lock up a rear naked choke here.

Diaz is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Alexei has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Diaz has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Alexei taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Diaz doesn't care though - he's delighted!
