Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Filipo Alexei (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Flavio Diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Alexei has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Filipo Alexei! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Flavio Diaz! The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Seu Braga and Felipe Paraventi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Diaz bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Diaz is looking to take a break and control but Alexei is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Diaz is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Alexei is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Diaz working the ground and pound.
Alexei is rocked! Alexei gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there! Alexei is breathing heavily. Diaz connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Oh Alexei is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Diaz trying to control but Alexei is having none of it. Alexei seems to have got his legs back now. A nice elbow there by Diaz. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Diaz jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Alexei manages to avoid the submission attempt. Alexei could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Diaz working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Alexei is trying to buck Diaz off. Diaz is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Alexei knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Diaz thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Alexei throws an elbow to the body but it doesn't land. Diaz working the head with strikes. Diaz passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Alexei! Diaz takes his opponent's back. Perhaps a chance to lock up a rear naked choke here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Diaz throwing damaging strikes from the back! Alexei could be in trouble here!
Diaz is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Alexei has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Diaz has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Alexei taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Diaz doesn't care though - he's delighted!
