Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Fredrik Kangas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yechezkel Quackenboss (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Fredrik Kangas! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Yechezkel Quackenboss! The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Bruno Lombardi and Reed Andrews.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Quackenboss tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Kangas swivels and escapes. Kangas shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Kangas throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Kangas prevents Quackenboss from improving his position. Quackenboss trying to control from the bottom.
Quackenboss is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Kangas pulls his head out easily. Kangas seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Quackenboss does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Quackenboss looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Kangas thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Quackenboss's head. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kangas throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Kangas lands with a nice body punch. Quackenboss doesn't succeed with the takedown and Kangas counters with a single leg into guard. Quackenboss didn't expect that. Quackenboss looks gassed! Quackenboss keeping moving, preventing Kangas from controlling successfully. Kangas gets to his feet - Quackenboss follows without any prompting. Kangas missing with a left hand there. Quackenboss was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Kangas fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Quackenboss, pushing him back against the cage. Quackenboss tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Kangas just stands there and leans against the cage. Fredrik Kangas has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Yechezkel Quackenboss. Kangas is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Quackenboss can't fight it off and eventually Kangas manages to take the fight to the floor. Quackenboss looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Kangas not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kangas works over Quackenboss with some ground and pound from guard. Kangas postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Quackenboss is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Kangas, into his guard. Kangas is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Quackenboss pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Kangas is keeping the position for now. Quackenboss is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kangas looking to hit a scissor sweep but Quackenboss is one step ahead there. Kangas utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Quackenboss works a leg free and moves into half guard. Quackenboss is pressing down on Kangas's thigh, looking to free his foot. Kangas is holding on for now. Quackenboss is trying to work for a kimura but Kangas is defending well.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Kangas kicks Quackenboss off and gets back to his feet. Fredrik Kangas seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Kangas darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Quackenboss is looking to improve his position.
Quackenboss is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Quackenboss gets back to full guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Kangas stopping the sweep attempt from Quackenboss. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Fredrik Kangas dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Quackenboss with a lazy takedown attempt and Kangas holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Kangas is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Quackenboss gets underhooks to prevent Kangas's takedown attempt.
Kangas tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Fredrik Kangas. That's going to take a lot out of him. Quackenboss manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Quackenboss working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Kangas doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Kangas manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Kangas looking to pass the guard. Quackenboss manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

That's one minute gone in the round. Kangas is squirming around, avoiding Quackenboss's attempts to control the action. Kangas's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up. Quackenboss working for a guillotine from mount but Kangas is in no mood to give up. Kangas is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.

Quackenboss quickly switches position and commits to an armbar! It's a big risk for Quackenboss but it's paid off an Kangas is forced to tap! Nice work by Quackenboss.
