Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Radbod Blank and Paul Aken.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice defenses there by griffin.
Overeem tries a head kick but it misses.
Overeem fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
griffin shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Overeem as he jumps to the side.
griffin looks to land a body kick but Overeem moved away.
Overeem doesn't succeed with the takedown
and griffin decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Overeem's guard.
Overeem working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. griffin doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. griffin manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Overeem looks gassed!
griffin not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
griffin really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
griffin passes into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with griffin in particular looking to stall.

griffin missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
griffin wants to pass to mount but Overeem is defending the position.
griffin will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
griffin content to control rather than advance.
Overeem has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. griffin is working away from the top position though.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Overeem looks like he's trying to stand up.
griffin is working for a kimura but Overeem is defending it quite comfortably.
griffin content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
griffin trying to control the action but Overeem is working from the bottom.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
griffin tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Overeem paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Overeem gets caught flat footed, as griffin shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Overeem is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
griffin trying to stand up but can't free himself from Overeem's guard.
Overeem managing to control the position.
griffin is posturing up here but Overeem has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! griffin tries to roll out but it's too tight and griffin has to tap! Slick submission there by Overeem!
